I went to The X Pot during CES and had an.....extremely subpar experience. Rather than just writing a critical review I'd prefer to focus on things that could be improved on

Wait after a priority reservation through their lifetime membership program was 45 minutes. I don't really understand how this could happen, it's the longest I've waited at any restaurant with or without a reservation and at most of this brands restaurants it's just a priority waitlist option. As far as I'm concerned the lifetime membership benefit was basically useless for the occasion. I would very much like to see this improved in the future.

We received a bunch of food we did not order. When asking about it we were told that they just put these in for everyone. When I say a lot of food I mean like 8 items which is not ideal for an AYCE place. A vegetable platter and rice is whatever, probably something most people would want, but the amount of food that was ordered would be enough for a full meal for one person. We were never told it was ordered for us or would be it was simply brought to the table. This is, from what I can tell, a tactic to get people to consume less of things that are high COGS. Which feels scummy for what is Chubby Groups highest cost restaurant.

Service was terrible. Very very terrible. Nobody was outright rude and I'm pretty sure the issue was due entirely to severe understaffing but I think our server checked on us maybe 6 times over the course of 2 hours (after taking 15 minutes to attend to us when we were first seated). Of the 6 times all but the first and the last were me seeing the waiter and flagging them down. If this was like....a Chili's it'd be whatever but this is not an experience I've had at any other chubby group restaurant let alone their most expensive one. While I understand this week is the busiest travel week for vegas all year it is not something that should be unexpected. CES has been planned for a year. There should be adequate staffing and if there isn't you should reduce the # of tables you're operating.

Oysters. This isn't a me thing but my boyfriend is a massive fan of oysters. It was almost entirely how I talked them into coming. They were out. Now I would care slightly less at this extremely large disappointment except we were not told this when we ordered them, nor when my bf asked the waiter for additional oysters, nor when they brought the rest of the seafood to the table, but later when I flagged down the waiter for something else and asked them to check on them. This was one of the biggest disappointments of the night. I understand stuff happens that cause you not to have all items avalible and I don't know what acceptable compensation would be in instances like this but I could tell at this point my bf straight up felt like he was wasting his money.

This is not an experience that I would expect at any chubby group experience let alone their most expensive one. This is not an experience that should've happened. This felt like a complete and utter waste of my money that would have been better spent at Chubby Skewers (for conext this is currently their lowest cost concept). For the price point you are charging none of this should be an issue. This is all stuff that could have and should have been accounted and compensated for in one way or another. None of it was caused by unexpected factors outside of Chubby Groups control. I cannot in good faith recommend anyone ever goes to this restaurant. Your money will be better spent elsewhere.

Michael was the absolute best server I’ve had since visiting Las Vegas. He was so professional, timely and very knowledgeable about the menu. The freshest seafood in town. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I highly recommend and make sure you ask for Michael’s section you won’t be disappointed

X Pot combines all you can eat wagyu with Chinese hot pot. It is beyond unbelievable and our best meal in Vegas. Very expensive but worth every penny.
