Tasty option for quality Japanese fare, just over the highway from the strip in Chinatown.
Jammed in the conference crowd at Venetian, but wanted to find some good Japanese. Decided to take the short (10 min) uber over to Chinatown and found this little spot.
Started with the Tuna Tartare. It was a soy/sesame tinged take on traditional tartare and it was delicious. We also had a basic salmon roll which done well with good, light soy and fresh wasabi.
For dinner, we had the Tori katsu (chicken) served with rice, a cabbage-based salad and a selection-of pickles. Wonderful.
Service was pleasant and attentive.
Price was not cheap, but relative to the strip, an absolute bargain for the quality.
Highly recommend.

OMG THIS PLACE IS BOMB!!!! Words can’t describe just how good everything we ordered was!! Food came out fresh and fast, atmosphere is fun, restaurant is very clean, the customer service is exceptional and our waiter Martin went above and beyond exceeding our expectations!!!! It was a quick 10 minute drive from the strip. Definitely will be back!

Katsu is really good. I prefer Hire Katsu than Rosu Katsu. The skin of katsu is really crispy. The side dishes coming with katsu are also amazing.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here for lunch. We ate the cheese tonkatsu, tuna tartare, scallop cream croquette, and Tori katsu. All were delicious and the portions on the main dishes were very generous. The cheese tonkatsu was the best thing I’ve eaten so far on this vacation (even above a few fancier restaurants on the strip.

The ebi katsu and their cold soba noodles is the best I’ve had in all of America!

The best salmon katsu that I have ever had 😋, crunchy and moist, the perfect combination for every katsu dish, as well as the Tempura Soba, every Tempura item that came with it is perfectly done, especially the ebi tempura.
Both services provided by Yano and Martin are the best experience that I've come across from every place I have been. 5 out of 5.

The food and service were amazing but the tables are so close together that it’s hard to have an enjoyable conversation. I can stretch my hand and probably touch the person at the next table.

Unfortunately I cannot give this restaurant a good rating. Maybe I've had better sushi elsewhere and when you hire out side of the culture the service shows. Our waitres was very not good at all. The sushi kept falling apart before getting into our mouth. It's a shame we came here because of the high rating 2 ⭐ out of 5

We had the best Japanese food we’ve ever had in the US here. And it’s like daylight second. So, so good. Our server, Martin, was awesome too. Even training a new staff member (he was great! Good hire), his service was excellent. My wife and I wish this place was in our home town. Thank you. Oishikatta!!
