Umiya was an "off the Strip" Sushi Restaurant a block from the Palms Casino. They have an AYCE menu after 9:00pm and great prices on cocktails and drinks. Excellent sushi with many original rolls and styles. Big relief from the stodgey and expensive restaurants on the Strip. A local's favorite. Highly recommend this place!
Overall service and food quality are great. They have not had draft beer available in several weeks. One of the staples of the late night menu is the salmon belly and they are constantly out of this our run out before 9:30PM. At least give people the option to add fresh wasabi to the regular salmon instead of having to pay extra for a side
Always have a great time at UMIYA. I always make reservations online for the weekend. So, you don't have wait for an open table. Best time is after 9:00pm the late night menu for $21.99 is the best deal. Is across the street from The Palms Casino which has the best AYCE Lobster buffet at $79.99 it is not cheap. The last time I visited was New Year's Day had to wait 2 hours but it was worth it. The only thing I got was nothing but lobsters, crab, shrimp. So, if you visit...
