I spent 12 days in Vegas over Christmas. I was checking out new spots I hadn't yet been and decided on Village Pub Flamingo on a Friday night. Walking in, loved the atmosphere immediately. I sat myself as there wasn't anyone around so took a booth off the bar. A couple small groups came in after me and a waiter helped them out. I don't think he ever saw me slip in so I eventually went and flagged him down. He was super apologetic and immediately brought me a menu...
Great food! The Friday special is fried shrimp with clam chowder. The shrimp are good, but the chowder is amazing. Make sure to get there early before they run out. It's really that good and filling.
Bartenders are super chill. Food is hit or miss depending who's in the kitchen - either it's terrific, or my garlic cheese fries are burnt to a crisp (I'm amazed they even packaged them up for me that way instead of remaking them but I digress...hope they fire the crappy cook). The online menu is outdated; prices are much higher. Steak and eggs is my fav.
