Went up to the 50th floor to the Vodoo steakhouse the views were nice because the weather was perfect, the drinks were super duper strong and the DJ was playing all the jams. My job pulled out the red carpet for us again, and I definitely will be bringing my favorite people back .

Definitely worth the visit. The food was excellent. I had the Chefs Menu and shared the appetizer and dessert with my step-mom. Not only was the food and service awesome but the view from the patio, out onto the strip at night, was incredible.

So underrated! Best steakhouse in Vegas. Everything was perfect and the view from the rooftop was breathtaking.

It was pretty amazing. One of the best views.
Low lighting. Comfy booth. Good pours on drinks. I had the scallops which was to die for. Waiter was as friendly as you could ever ask for.

Underrated!! Enjoyed their happy hour on Friday night. Would recommend the cucumber mojito and the strawberry fields drinks in particular. Also had the calamari and shrimp cocktail appetizers, and were very happy with the taste and portions; excellent value! Husband had a 10 oz filet perfectly prepared for the same price as a 6 oz if you were in a hotel on the strip. I had the scallops and have never had better scallops. The restaurant has a gorgeous view of the strip with an outdoor area on the 50th floor. We mentioned it was our anniversary weekend and they also gave us complimentary champagne at the end of our meal. Waitstaff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food, and attentive. Great changes in general to the Rio since Hyatt took over, and the e’ll definitely be back!

Hung is THE guy. He did not only make our evening feel amazing, but also managed to get the staff do their job properly. Thanks to him, best guy.

I recently dined here with a party of eight, and while the food and view were undeniably impressive, the experience was severely dampened by the subpar service.

The positives: the food was excellent. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with flavors that exceeded expectations. The scenery was equally stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for what should have been a memorable meal.

However, when you’re paying $200 per person, a high level of service is expected. Unfortunately, the service fell drastically short. Our waiter seemed completely overwhelmed by our group size and was visibly confused about which meal belonged to whom when it came time to serve. This level of disorganization is unacceptable at this price point.

Before placing our orders, we requested that the tab be split, a reasonable ask given the complexity that can arise with mixed orders. The waiter’s response—“I’ll try”—was not reassuring. In a professional setting, this should be a straightforward task, especially with a simple method of writing down the orders as they’re taken. Yet, this apparently proved too complicated.

The overall impression was that literacy might not be a requirement for the waitstaff, which is both surprising and disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. It’s unfortunate that such poor service overshadowed what could have been an outstanding dining experience.

In conclusion, while the food and the view are commendable, the atrocious service severely undermines the overall experience. Given the price, one would expect much better attention to detail and professionalism. This imbalance makes it difficult to recommend for special occasions or large groups.

Disappointing is the best way I can describe our experience a the Voodoo Steak restaurant. From the moment we arrived at the Rio the experience was a disappointment. It took several tries to get pointed in the right direction for the elevators to the restaurant. Then once we arrived in the general area we didn’t find out the elevators to the 54th floor was out of order until we climbed two flights of stairs. We were redirect to another set of elevators only to find out two of the four were also out of order. Which created a log jam of guest trying to get to their rooms and those of us heading to the restaurant. Once we finally arrived at the restaurant the disappointment continued. I specifically requested a strip view when I made the reservation, but my request was ignored. We were placed behind a column with a view of the second Rio tower and the western desert. Which was a nice view but considering there were plenty open tables with the view I requested it wasn’t a pleasant experience. We ordered the three course meal, which for us consisted of French Onion Soup, Surf and turf with a petite filet, a lobster tail, shrimp, whipped potatoes, a carrot and asparagus. With a dessert of chocolate cake for me and cream bullate for my wife. The soup was the best part of meal, unfortunately from there there the experience continued downhill. Her steak was undercooked while my was fine. The waiter did check on us and provided her with a properly cooked steak. The lobster, shrimp and vegetables were all cold or lukewarm best. Finally my cake seemed like it was premade and taken right out of the box. While my wife’s dessert was very good and tasty. The positive part of our experience was the wait staff. All members of the staff was nice and attentive to our needs.

We had the seafood tower and extra order of oysters, wife had a cocktail and I had a whiskey flight. Also we had the cre'me brulee for dessert with coffee. Everything you would want from high end dining. The furniture was a bit dated but the restaurant was low noise even with a fair amount of patrons. Food was over the top good! The views of Vegas were unmatched!

This is truly a 'treat yourself' kind of experience! It's costly (it'll be all over $150 per person for a full meal with a cocktail), but the food and the service are stellar, and you can't beat the view! If you don't want to dine, you can enjoy a cocktail and stand outside on the 51st floor and just take in Las Vegas. My filet was cooked perfectly medium-rare, and our cocktails were top shelf. The sides were also enjoyable, but beware, it is a la carte - so unless your meal specifies sides are included, they will be extra. We had no room for dessert, but I'll bet they're great too! A superb dining experience!!

Wow just wow!!! Walked right in on a Friday night, table for 2. The service was AMAZING. The steak was TO DIE FOR!! My daughter and I shared calamari, steak and potatoes. It was plenty for the two of us. The views are incredible and I would DEFINITELY GO BACK…with reservations just to be safe!

Too much char on the steak. My strip wasn’t cooked proper temp throughout. The ends were well and middle was mid rarer (which was what I ordered). The blue cheese potatoes were decent. The scallops were scalding hot - too hot when served. The redeeming qualities was that the cheesecake was absolutely delicious. For the price of the entire meal I wish I could have said the steak was the highlight.
Looking for steak, try Peter Luger’s.
