Burnt ends are to die for, brisket and ribs meaty and moist but the BEST was the brisket pastrami! It was as tender and flavorful as prime rib! Mac and cheese made the best side. Cheers to their own house made cantaloupe beverage to enjoy while you savor the warmth of staff, the delicious meal and the great outdoors!
We really liked the large juicy Dan Dan Burger (available on Thursdays), the perfectly stewed Green Chile with Pork and Potatoes, and the aptly named Meaty Beans. The generously-sized Pastrami Sandwich was good, but pretty fatty today. The staff was welcoming and capable, and they handled the long line of customers with smiling efficiency.
I invited my friend to join me today and she enjoyed her smoked turkey and greens. I had the brisket, baked beans and cole slaw. Not a fan of the baked beans but everything else was delicious as usual. Edited for Oct 9, 2025. Yesterday I enjoyed the brisket melt with a pal. We had old bay fries, cole slaw and potato salad.
