Great place and great price for such great service and food. Antonio was great and the servers and waitresses were spot on and always ready to help. I'll definitely be back!

I like how everyone says hello as soon as you come in. The sushi is extremely good which is what pushed me over to giving it 5 instead of four stars.

I'm new in Las Vegas. I met an Asian gentleman who is my neighbor. We got to talking about food...dim sum, sushi, pizza. I asked him about AYCE sushi places as I'm on an extremely limited budget on social security. I don't get a chance to eat out a lot so when I found an extra 40 in my budget I thought I would try his recommended Yama Sushi. I've been in the restaurant industry for over 50 years and I have a great sense in what to expect from any establishment I endeavor. So I set out to try Yama on a Thursday at around 2:30pm. Certainly not expecting 5star cuisine but something decent at least. There were a handful of tables. I thought this was a good sign. When I sat down I was asked if I would like something to drink. I asked for green tea. The server came back with a beer glass full of ice and what I think was green tea. When my puzzled look at the server confused her. I politely asked for hot tea. The waiter arrived shortly after and took my order. I ordered some nigiri and one roll to start. Usually I sit at the sushi bar when I'm dining alone but this time I chose to sit at a table across from the sushi bar. I noticed the (sushi chefs?) were smiling, laughing and having a good time so I felt confident that something good was about to happen...Boy was I wrong. After waiting 30 minutes for my order I became concerned. When my food arrived, I noticed how small the nigiri were. I picked up my first bite and I noticed that not only was the rice cold (had been refridgerated...something that should never be done with sushi rice) but the portion of rice was so small I seriously doubt it was the size of my thumb nail. Which I sort of understand considering the fish was cut so small. Maybe the thought is the fish looks bigger on the small rice???IMHO more rice would be better for the small fish. Needless to say the nigiri was a disaster. The fish was not sushi quality. So I tried the spicy tuna roll. The rice in the roll was pressed so tightly from the bamboo mat that the grains of rice were crushed into one another. Hoping it would get better, I decided to try three more rolls. I was not surprised when the three rolls I had ordered were as bad as the rest. When the server asked if I'd like anything else I said no. Then he asked if I wanted dessert. So I asked what they had and settled for the green tea ice cream. Was the best thing they served me but it is served with a BR plastic tasting spoon making it impossible to enjoy. The only thing that troubles me more than the poor quality of food was listening to the sushi chefs calling out derogatory names in Spanish at what I can only assume was towards the clientele. I really feel sorry for the owner but a better tagline for Yama should be AYCS(all you can stand) instead of AYCE(all you can eat).

We came here for a baby shower and before we could walk out the door one of the attendees was literally in the bathroom coming out of both ends was her seafood salad. She let the people know how sick she was and they could have cared less! They still had her pay the bill and didn't show any type of concern or sympathy at all. After we had spent quite a few hundred dollars as a huge party The $99 bill would have been nothing for them to comp. Especially since you could go in the bathroom and clearly see she was sick all over the place. Do not eat here unless you want to be sick!!!

Strongly recommend!!! The food was delicious😋

We are visiting Las Vegas, and so far it is the first place with decent food. Initially, we wanted to order separate dishes but then counted and buffet was a much cheaper option for us.

Takoyaki threw me off because it was the first time I saw them to be served cut in half with some spicy sauce on top. It was the only dish that was a miss for me :(

Our server was very attentive, she always double checked on us. Great service!👍🏽

This place is always busy but usually service is very good.. this time not so much. Long waits for anyone to come back for next order.. Still one of the better ayce sushi places.

My experience at Sushi Yama was pretty good! The food was a little slow to come out at times, but the pace was okay. The spicy rolls are different from the other sushi I've tried since they use actual chili powder rather than a spicy mayo mix; it brought an unexpected kick that I enjoyed but it can definitely get overwhelming fast. I also thought the rice was a little overcooked as both rolls and nigiri stuck to the plate. The fresh was fish though and everything was delicious.
