I ordered my food, got to the room and found it had shrimp. I thought nothing of it - it happens - so went back to the restaurant. The person who took my order could not give me the item without shrimp and could not refund me without calling the manager. The manager told me it was my fault because I didn't specify vegetarian. I ordered by showing a photo (never saying the name) and the name didn't have vegetarian in it. She said she could do nothing for me and handed me the food back. I handed it back saying I don't eat this. I walked away totally baffled at what happened. That was a first. I don't usually do reviews but I think people who don't eat certain things should be aware this is how this restaurant handles when they make a mistake with an order.

Food is meh. Pretty good deal during happy hour 12-4 pm and again late in the evening. At least a good deal for Vegas. Coronado is probably a better option for food in South Point.

Everything is about 40% too expensive, and you have to transit through a smoke-filled casino to get there. The food is good quality but the portion size is only okay, particularly for the $25 salmon sashimi that is 5 nigiri-sized (at best) slices of salmon. I probably should’ve gone with the sushi joint across the street!

First of all the service was excellent. Fast and friendly. The dry rub ribs were so-so. The ckn lettuce wraps/ the ckn was too dried out and no flavor. The salmon shishimi was excellent. The Caribbean Cosmo was delicious.

Was told the beef short rib was better than fine dining. No absolutely not. The flavor was there, but my cut was dry and tough. The miso soup was very nice though and fried rice solidm

Excellent service-wow so kind, welcoming, and attentive! So glad we ate here, the food was exactly what we were hoping for. The chile garlic edamame, seaweed salad, shrimp tempura and miso soup=delicious. I requested a house salad with ginger dressing as there is not one on the menu and it was the perfect size, the dressing a bit strong with the vinegar but honestly very good. We enjoyed the separation from the casino when seated, that made it all the more enjoyable. Happy hour is 2x a day for the win! We will be back!

I ordered a veggie fried rice. They told me it was full of veggies. I added tofu. What I got was literally a bowl of tasteless rice with some plain tofu on top. I asked them to change it or refund... Nope. Nothing. They told me pretty explicitly there would be veggies. I know because I asked for them soft and they said they would steam them. Nope! Avoid this place.

Outstanding sushi bar located inside the South Point Hotel resort in Las Vegas. Beautiful private room available, that’s perfect for private parties and wedding dinner rehearsals

Zen Shin Restaurant – A Vegan & Allergy-Friendly Haven

I had an amazing dining experience at Zen Shin Restaurant! As a vegan with severe allergies, I’m always cautious when eating out, but this place exceeded my expectations. My waitress, Ivy, was outstanding—she was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to ensure my meal was completely safe.

One of the biggest highlights was that Zen Shin has almost zero MSG on their menu, which is a huge plus for those with sensitivities. I came during happy hour and, thanks to Ivy’s fantastic recommendations, I was able to enjoy a variety of delicious, well-prepared dishes without any concerns. The flavors were rich, fresh, and thoughtfully crafted.

The restaurant’s warm ambiance, attentive service, and commitment to accommodating dietary needs make it a standout choice. If you’re looking for a spot with amazing food and excellent service, Zen Shin is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I went to the restaurant on Christmas Eve to beat the holiday blues. The service was great. The oxtail soup was filling and delicious. I was so impressed, I came back a couple days later to sample more of the menu. I spent $90 on edamame, lamb chop appetizer, a rainbow roll and a cocktail. Unfortunately, an hour later, the entire meal was in the toilet. I can only assume it was the sushi since I didn't have the experience on my first visit. This was such a disappointing experience. I've never gotten sick before and surely didn't want to spend my last day in Vegas in a fetal position before my return flight home. I should have heeded a previous review that had a similar experience.

Very good gluten-free options for celiac. We ate here three times during a six day Vegas trip. We love sushi. Service was very good. Only comment was the third time we ate there. We ordered one of the rolls and the manager came over to tell us that the Masago was not gluten-free. Very strange because it's literally just fish eggs. And we had ordered the same roll twice previously and not been told that. Other than that the food was very good and if we lived in Vegas, we would probably eat there fairly often.

Poor representation to the hard working fishermen of ALASKA!! They FALSELY Advertise ALASKAN Salmon confirmed with the cook that it was in fact FARMED Salmon from North Carolina!! 🤮 Fix your menu!!
