We had dinner at the gourmet room on 3-29-25
I'll first start off by saying the service was excellent. Our waiter and his assistant took excellent care of us.
My girlfriend ordered the lobster ravioli which was literally floating in sauce. This is not how this dish is supposed to be prepared. But apparently it is at the gourmet room. I ordered the steak Diane. The server brought out the wrong order and he brought me a eggplant parmesan. He quickly removed that and within just a few minutes he brought out my steak Diane. Which I thought was a little bit odd. That he could get an order out that quick. But what I received was even stranger. I received a few slices of beef with some sort of demi-glaze that it was smothered in. I've eaten it some great restaurants and I've never seen a steak Diane served this way it's normally one steak not pieces of steak. And normally the cuts that are used are a filet, ribeye or New York. I can assure you this was none of those nor was his properly prepared. My girlfriend and I were having a great time so we really didn't want to ruin the evening by contacting the server and we just went on about our meal and our evening which we actually had a great time at the restaurant and the casino. I contacted Miss Rios who is the food and beverage director for the Riverside Casino a few days later. She was very courteous and she reached out to the executive chef who told me that the way they prepare their steak Diane is to press out a few pieces of filet and then serve it with a sauce. Well I've never seen this prepared this way and to be quite honest with you it's just was pretty unappealing. I asked Ms Rios is that it? Meaning is it going to go anywhere from here and she said well are you looking for compensation. To be quite honest I probably was looking for a little bit of compensation because my girlfriend's order was floating in sauce when it should have been more like a dressing. But I didn't want to push the issue over the phone and I was a bit surprised that the director did not offer something for next time I would visit their casino and restaurants. I do live in the area and have for several years. I would make a recommendation to the gourmet room that if you're going to serve steak Diane this way which no other four star plus restaurant serves it this way You might want to put on the menu how it will be prepared with slices of beef or as I was told press medallions. I do want to say though that the staff did a great job even though they did bring out the wrong order. And I get it we're human people make mistakes.
Resort was cool, food at all venues was good. Issue we had was with return trip being a complete cluster. Heard different things from different people as to what the actual problem was. Left our room at 5:45AM Sunday morning for an 8:00AM flight, retrieved our luggage in MN at 7:54AM Monday morning. That was after about 6.5 hours either sitting in a bus at the airport, riding in a bus from Laughlin to Las Vegas, or sitting in the plane on the runway waiting for our luggage, or fuel. The flight showed up on FlightAware, and was shown as on time until after departure time, then it showed as scheduled. The flight was never viewable on the Sun Country site. Flights were 8011 to Laughlin, and 8016 returning.
Sun country and Riverside have absolutely dropped the ball this weekend. Plane gets delayed from 8am til 11 am due to a diversion due to an airplane issue. Almost 0 communication from Riverside or Sun Country from here on out. It’s now 5:12 pm and we are waiting to get on busses to Las Vegas to fly back to MSP. No direction on what to do once we get to Vegas. Both companies have told us to contact the other company for compensation for this huge mess up. Very likely my last time coming unless someone takes accountability.
Came here for my boyfriend bday and it did not disappoint. Service is impeccable, we ordered the crab legs and they come already cut in half for you. We also ordered the Lobster ravioli, spinach artichoke chicken soup and the oysters, the bread was a bit stiff wish they would precut it. But my favorite dish was the lobster ravioli and the crab legs!!!
The View was super relaxing, servers were fun and we will come back.
Price was fit for the service $288
My wife and I went there on a date and we split everything for a mere $10 charge. Charlie was the greatest waiter and Arnold was the greatest assistant waiter. Arnold should be a main waiter himself. Food was outstanding. The drink was outstanding and the dessert was outstanding. We will be going back again every time we’re in Laughlin.
The waiter Brian needs to go back being a servicer We had to ask about the specials. We had to ask what with the plate. Robin's lobster & mignon. Came out over cooked. & I'm there with my plate. The red potato & blue chesse & onions looked & taste like leftovers from the night before. & letting the waiter know he didn't seem to care & it took 23mins.for them to fix Robins plate. For medium rare fillet. Then they treat us like it's our fault. Try to fix it with a dessert, but don't bring us the desert plate to show us what to choose from. Our 4 to 5 times a year they just got changed. Friends in Topock said they changed too from 5 to 6 times there to Claim Jumpers. That's where they spent their Valentine's dinner this year.
We RSVP at 6:45 & got seated at 7:10
& No discount for the inconvenience on there part. Very disappointed, after all these years going there.Faithfully & getting treated like this. Sincerely Lendea R Sparks

This was hands down the best experience and food we have had in Laughlin!!
First time ever at The Gourmet Room on Thanksgiving Day. Classic atmosphere with large windows showcasing the Colorado River. We both ordered the Butternut Squash Soup as a starter and the Thanksgiving Dinner as the main course. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and we enjoyed everything about the experience. We look forward to returning to this excellent restaurant the next time we visit Laughlin!
Everything was AHHHHMAZING!!!
