Friendly, good service. Nice atmosphere. Big portions. The chicken fried steak was tough and too thick. Couldn’t chew. Broccoli for vegetable (no choice). Also all out of pies. Close to closing time on Sunday so maybe that’s a forgiven.

Stayed at the adjacent hotel and enjoyed perhaps the best steak sandwich I have ever had. A full 8 oz Ribeye tucked into delicious long hogie style bun. Green beans and salad were very fresh. Service was fantastic and meal was modestly priced. What a pleasant surprise!

Built in 1985, this cute café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. I think the town farmers and miners frequents this diner as regulars. Portions are large.

Rural Nevada is usually a food desert, but this is a good place to stop for a hot meal. I stayed in a hotel across the street and walked across the street for dinner and had perfectly grilled steak with potatoes and salad. The next morning I had an excellent breakfast. The people there are super friendly and it was a welcome respite on a long drive.

When we arrived we sat ourselves at a table because no one was around. After about 10 minutes we almost left before a waitress emerged from the kitchen to get us menus. Outside of that, prices were decent and my burger was really good.
