This restaurant was inside the travel plaza at the highway exit for Valley of Fire State Park. We stopped for a light lunch and shared a Indian taco. The fry bread was very dense and chewy and the toppings were very fresh.
Tu Ka Khan...in the Paiute language, means "place to eat". This morning, I came to this place to eat buttermilk biscuits smothered in country gravy with a side of eggs, sunny side up. The egg came separate, but I like to put it on top and have the golden yolk drip all over the luscious gravy. It shares space with the gas station, and there isn't an obvious outdoor sign for it, but come and eat! The food was excellent. We tried the old fashioned pot roast, the carnitas, and the daily special of beef and cheddar on sourdough (sandwich). Lots of food and top quality! A great find!
