One of the best, if not the best taco wagons we’ve found in all of Washoe County!
I love tamales and always try them at Mexican restaurants, 9 out of 10 times they’re overfilled with masa and little to no meat and DRY. Not these at TMG- even my husband will eat these as he says all tamales are small, dry and full of masa. I’ve never ordered tamales from the same rest twice except here. Tejaro Mexican Grill, located next to The Camp Bar in Washoe Valley, is an amazing little gem known for its friendly staff, excellent food, and huge portions. They offer the best shrimp enchiladas in Reno, giant burritos the size of footballs, and delicious tacos with hot sauce that’s actually hot. The Al pastor is on point every time, and don’t forget the creamy flan for dessert. The workers are always friendly and attentive, even calling back if they miss an order. Vegetarian options are available, and parking is easy. Highly recommended, though they close right before Thanksgiving and return in February/March.
