We love the deck and tonight the sunset was beautiful. But they were understaffed. Our waitress had too many tables and neglected us. We almost left. The manager comped out drinks but it was too little too late. Such a disappointment!

Good craft cocktails but the rigatoni bolognese was abysmal. The rigatoni was overcooked and the bolognese lacked flavor

Beautiful setting on the golf course overlooking the lake and mountains. Our server was attentive and provided great service. He allowed us to dine leisurely, not making us feel like we had to rush through our dining experience. We had the burger, club sandwich, and mahi mahi tacos, which were all delicious. We will definitely return on our next visit to Tahoe!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere is, well, beautiful Lake Tahoe. We ate outside on the deck and the weather was mild and the view of the golf course and the Lake were breathtaking. Worth every penny.

Came here on a recommendation. The views are wonderful. The service was fine. Drinks took way too long to get and the Airline Chicken was raw and undercooked, sent it back. Very underwhelming overall.

We were a large group (11), had a fantastic table outside overlooking the lake and golf course. Service was very good, but the food was just average. I would say that the you're paying for the name and views more than the food.

Unfortunately the menu has changed and the food quality (in particular the fish tacos) was dismal. Wrote about our disappointing experience and never received a response which was even more disappointing as it shows they are not interested in the customer experience.

Atmosphere was amazing. An upscale experience that felt very country-club. A gate keeper greeted us and gave directions to Brooks'. After driving 60-70mph down highway 50 it was a welcome 15mph drive to the restaurant where our car was valet parked and we were directed toward the restaurant up a wheelchair accessible ramp. Inside, the plush carpets ran toward two dining rooms and also down some stairs to clean bathrooms with logo-printed napkins representing Edgewood, the resort that brings the two restaurants and golf course together.

Well, we headed toward the dining area that had an a-framed vaulted ceiling and were greeted by Igor who confirmed our reservation and seated us outside, which is where we wanted. The outdoor seating is a massive patio with good shade and plenty of seating on a nice paved area with a view of lake Tahoe and the green of the golf course. The chairs were wide and the tables large. It was very accommodating. I will say the chairs were a little hard and not necessarily ergonomic so if you have a small butt, prepare your tailbone. But I think most people will not notice.

Our server was attentive, and perfectly splendid. We were brought iced-water immediately and placed our order without any issues. There were little birds walking around and some bees buzzing the table, but no one got stung and there were no flies or unpleasant things.

The price of most appetizers is around $15-20. The price of most lunch/dinner items is around $25-40 and the steak was $62.

We ordered the taco trio ?, the Brooks' burger ?, and the rigatoni Bolognese ?.

Taco Trio ? - $25 - 4 ⭐ - 3 tacos each on 2 untoasted corn tortillas. One pork ?, one fish ?, one beef ?. The fish taco was the best. It had good sauce/salsa, flavor and portion. The pork and beef were a little dry and felt under seasoned, but the clientele might prefer a less "spicy" ? palate (they were not even 1% spicy), as such it didn't quite pop as much as I'd prefer. Also the corn tortillas were bland and dry. They would have been better lightly fried or having some more juice from the meats soaked into them. The biggest complaint here was the lack of flavor. This dish felt very close to being delicious. But again, some might prefer a more plain taco experience. They did include a little side of guac and salsa, and two lime wedges, but I shouldn't have to pour salsa on every taco to moisten it enough; each taco should stand alone as it's own proud claim to cooking.

Brooks' Burger ? - $25 - 5 ⭐ - I love ordering a burger at a restaurant because I always wonder if they can mess it up. Well, they did not. It was great. Juicy, big burger with bacon, excellent sauce, crispy lettuce, on a fresh brioche bun. I would order this again. It was so good. And I was impressed with the fries. They were long cut similar to a potato wedge but thinner and crispy and perfectly seasoned. This dish couldn't have been better. Bravo! ??

Rigatoni Bolognese ? - $38 - 2 ⭐ - This was the most expensive dish, but also the only one we regretted. The other dishes were fine and excellent, but this one either needed a huge price drop or to step up its game. The pasta looked like something I would get from a box for $2 and didn't taste special. The Bolognese sauce which was the selling point came across as a yummy, but simple meat sauce that was mostly underneath the noodles, not coating or on top of them. Instead the noodles are decorated with some parmesan and two chunks of bread. It felt like something from Chili's or Applebee's. I really wish there was more sauce covering the noodles and maybe a little more cheese. It just wasn't a $38 dish compared to the burger ? which was amazing and totally worth $25 at this kind of upscale dining experience.

I'd still recommend this place. I want to try their Cubano sandwich ? next time I go. And I think I will be back. It&#

Upscale, yet casual. Beautiful setting near the lake and the golf course. We were there for lunch and found their offerings perfect. The service was good, but the kitchen is a bit far from the patio, so there is a wait for special requests (side of ranch for the fries, etc.) after you have been served. I ordered ice tea, which came w/ no sweeteners and was not offered a refill. Prices are on the high side, but somewhat expected in a setting like this.

We sat outside by choice. It was windy, but was tolerable. Our waitress, Kaitlyn was helpful. The highlight of the meal was the Bloody Mary's. They were a meal in themselves. The calamari on the salad was crispy and flavorful. Probably could have done without the Mahi-Mahi tacos.

The view from the deck is gorgeous. The server was just great. The food was marginal, at best. In particular, the NY steak for $62.00 was a big disappointment. It's a bar “and deck” but with the restaurant being fine dining, we thought it was safe to order. The drinks and appetizers were just okay too. This used to be a great spot, what happened?!?! ?

Had a wonderful time dining outdoors at Brooks' Bar & Deck located within Edgewood at Tahoe. From the deck, we had amazing views of both the golf course and Lake Tahoe. The food and service were great, and we even picked up some golf apparel on the way out as the golf shop is connected to this restaurant, which was pretty unique.

On another note, Edgewood at Tahoe, along with the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, are the only two 5-star hotels in all of Lake Tahoe. I'd definitely love to stay here on our next visit to the area. The property is beautiful!

Outside patio has the atmosphere, staff too slow to put heaters and fires on. Our server was terrible, the food worse. $36 for fish and chips served in a fry basket, the oil should have been changed a week ago and even at half the price it would have been unacceptable.
