We had the best dinner experience in Cafe Del sol for 2 days in a row, February 4th 2026 and February 5th 2026, it was our baby girl 2nd birthday 🎂, The servers were very attentive, food was delicious 😋. We meet the 👩🍳 chef Ruben Chachagua who is Salvadorian like my husband. We became friends with him and hoping that he can visit Monterey California soon. My husband loved the seafood Pasta, my baby loved the tortilla soup. I did ordered the first night a hamburger that it was sooo yummy, I ordered with coleslaw instead of French fries and the coleslaw was super delicious. The next day, my husband ordered The special, short rib with mashed potatoes and vegetables 😋 and every bite was outstanding, I did order a special dish, Chicken Alfredo pasta and it was very yummy, I requested an order of jalapeños and the chef made a very special order for me , I love those jalapeños!!! Overall our experience was amazing!!! That's why we come back twice!! I highly recommend this place!!! We have been here before and I also love the fajitas!!! Oh and don't forget to made a small room to try their Orchata Flan it's Fantastic !!!!

I received a promotion based on my affinity card at Bally's for a $19.99 prime rib dinner. We arrived a little after 5 pm and were seated immediately. Rosie, our server, was excellent. Water was refilled without prompting. The food arrived hot and cooked to our requested "doneness". The 10 oz prime rib was 10 oz of meat, not 5 oz of fat & 5 oz of meat. The dinner included mashed potatoes and vegetables. The location is behind the main cashier's cage and easy to reach from the parking lot. They validated our parking. For the $19.99 prime rib, it was a wonderful meal. Next time, I'll skip the dessert.

The prime rib special is a deal not to be missed. The beef was delicious and the accompanying vegetables and mashed potatoes were enjoyable, as well.
My usual “go to” is the House of Prime Rib (HOPR) in SF, which is the Gold Standard in this category. I enjoyed the Del Soul prime rib just as much as the HOPR, at about 1/3 of the price. The Del Soul cut is smaller at about 10 oz, but that was sufficient for me.
The only criticism I have is the restaurant host. John B cited a 15-20 minute wait and it ultimately turned out to be a 50 minute wait. However, the real issue was John’s attitude. He stated that he was short handed and only had one server working. However, he was very nonchalant about seating guests and was not overly concerned about filling the tables.
At one point, there were exactly 2 tables seated and the rest of the tables empty. I asked him why he wasn’t calling the names on the waiting list and he snapped back, “I only have one server and we can only do so much”. I said I understood that, but 1 server could easily handle another 5 tables minimum. John replied that there was a system and that tables had to be cleared, etc Yet, when I walked through the dining room, every single table was clean and set for dining. (I even took a video if management cares to see it). It is my opinion that John B requires additional training if he plans on continuing in the service business. If not for John’s abrasive personality, I would’ve rated this restaurant 5 stars.

Chef Reuben is a wonderful person and amazing chef and made our visit to Del Sol fantastic. Paired with Alexis' kind service and the superb flan, our experience was amazing. The only thing that made it even better was that it was all comps....but of course that came with lots of play...

My husband and I just got back from a lovely dinner here. We both really enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. It was not crowded at all when we went (around 7:30pm) no reservation needed. The dimmed lights and artwork make for a super cozy ambiance. The food was fresh and yummy (we especially liked the seafood fettuccine & key lime pie). Also, it is very reasonably priced! 2 entrees, 2 drinks & 1 dessert for under $65 and we didn't even have to leave the resort. This will be a repeat spot for the rest of our trip!
