Today was my bday and I go there all the time but the service tonight was horrible and the food was terrible Bread no butter , my meat was not cooked to request , past w lobster no lobster , the lava cake was cold No candle for the cake The service girl was the worse I ever had She had atitude and we had to ask for water a few times I have to say I being to this place at least 5 times and I can't even refer this place to anyone Horrible horrible service
I think the food was very good. However, the highly recommended lava cake that took 30 minutes to prepare was really not a lava cake, it was solid in the middle and was really just a brownie.
Chart House is an incredible restaurant with incredible views of Lake Tahoe!! The food was delicious as usual (my wife got the Filet Mignon and myself the chicken). But the Espresso Martini Soufflé was very underwhelming for the $25.00 price tag. Regardless we love chart house and will for sure be back!
We had the $60 each fix menu. Prime Rib was good. Chopped salad, limp and tasteless. Mini Lava Cake barely edible. Cake was so hard and stale you could hardly cut it with a fork.
A beautiful place and good food. Service was very slow and not very friendly. The restaurant is very crowded and very loud. We were there to celebrate our anniversary. The chaos in the place spoiled it for us. It is very pricey for such an experience. We will not go back
Lamps hanging over the booth needs serious dusting. I looked up and I saw spider webs and dust.
Superb! Excellent prime rib and asparagus, cooked perfectly. Fire cracker shrimp and steamed mussels were excellent appetizers at the happy hour before dinner.
Excellent spot! Great food... beautiful views! We shared the king cut prime rib! Absolutely perfection! Cooked exactly the way we wanted! Molten chocolate lava cake dessert was a perfect ending! We are going back to celebrate the holiday! Highly recommended that you check it out when visiting South Lake Tahoe!
We were a party of 7 with a confirmed reservation, seated 15 minutes late. The table was in the far. back pushed up very close against a wall with window, not what i would expect with a reservation. The servers lacked basic knowledge and she hounded us for our order, when we had just sat down and had not been poured the champagne that we brought., We pIaidcorkage for our champagne, but the waiter seemed unclear on the basic service protocol. She poured a taster which is totally unnecessary as we brought the champagne and there would be no option to return it. For the rest of the evening, she poured the men before the women. The food runner would have two plates and place a plate down closest to her, then reach over that plate and guest to serve me. We ordered several appetizers, which were partially cleared from the table prior to the entrées arriving . The waiter had taken all the cutlery, but did not preset cutlery prior to the entrées arriving . Empty champagne glasses were left behind in addition to appetizer plates, Three desserts were brought to the table, but she didn't bring any new cutlery so we sat waiting with a melting dessert. As for food, the appetizers were not great, the beet salad was very basic and uninspired, just diced cold beets stacked on a decorated plate. The Kimchi Calamari was plentiful but over cooked and mostly batter, no detectable calamari meat, the sauce was very plain. The coconut shrimp was just ok, but not up to Chart House standards. The crab cakes were the best appetizer, we ordered two. The 2 pastas looked great. The two prime ribs were just ok, one cut was better than the other which had a lot of fat to trim, they were not as flavorful as expected, being that it is the most famous dish at the chart house. The kids burger was ample and a great deal. The two orders of Seabass with lobster risotto were OK, but very one note, the risotto was stiff enough to be placed in amount a mound. The Seabass should have had a crisp top..
We came to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It was a great place overlooking Lake Tahoe and watching the sunset. Service was excellent and food was great!!! Highly recommend

Another choice of background music might be more appropriate. The volume was excessive IMO
This was our first time to the Southlake Tahoe restaurant. In years past we had been to chart houses on the West Coast. This restaurant had wonderful staff, amazing food, great service, and lovely aesthetics and view! We will definitely be returning!
Service was great. Team works well together, our waitress was attentive but not too much. View is fantasitc Note: they weren't fantastic at timing the entrees after salads, so maybe order in segments or be super clear of when to put in the entree. It was early in the evening, so may have been a one off. Waitress apologized
My boyfriend and I came to Chart House to celebrate my 30th birthday this past Saturday night and we had such an incredible experience! We made reservations for dinner to begin right before sunset so we could enjoy the view, and I'm so glad that we did. The view was STUNNING! Pictures do not do it justice. We were in awe the entire evening! Aside from the great view, both the service we received and the food was impeccable. Adrian was our server. He was very knowledgeable and attentive! We loved the food. We ordered the crab cake, whipped ricotta meatballs, filet mignon, prime rib with truffle butter, lobster tail, and cheesecake. Our expectations were truly exceeded! We are already looking forward to coming back to Tahoe this winter and eating here again! A little birdy told me the locals love to come here for happy hour also. Seems like a staple of South Lake for visitors and locals!
Our waitress was amazing but they were short staffed and had our waitress doing everything. Bartender, server, waitress, water, for the entire top floor. We felt bad for her.
