This was an anniversary dinner and from the reception to through the meal, the service and food was exceptional. Don't order the Parker rolls if you've sworn off bread. You won't be able to resist them. We had the squash blossoms while waiting in the lounge and now I have to find squash blossoms. When you want to be treated well and have a fine dining experience, the Edge is the place to go. They don't have a huge selection of food but what they have is very well presented and flavorful.
We have been going to Edgewood now the Edge for many years. The new remodel is beautiful, the bar outstanding. We were seated at a lovely table, water was poured and menus were passed out. We were told who our waitress was and then waited and waited before finally having to ask for the waitress to come over to take our wine then food order. Food was very well prepared and plated. Was surprised that the entree did not include any sides, and no sides were listed on menu to order. There were a lot of servers running around for such slow service. We know that they have just reopened and need to work kinks out We had a good meal and time with our friends.
We had the tasting experience and it was mediocre at best. Everything was heavily salted to where we could not taste the food. The wagyu was tough and over cooked. Add on the fact it took over two hours to complete our meal, I simply cannot recommend this place.
This should have a Michelin star! Was absolute perfection and would recommend to everyone.
Great first time experience for my wife and I. Ordered the little gem salad and Parker rolls for appetizers delicious. My wife had the handmade pasta yummy and I had the beef cooked perfectly and delicious. The deconstructed tiramisu was even better. The drinks old fashioned and Australia Shiraz wine was fabulous. We will definitely be back when we visit again.
We chose the tastings menu. It was superb every bite. The service was spot on not rushed and yet no delays. The Sommelier was extremely professional and knowable, Thank you Troy. Bill our head waiter constantly checked in to see about our satisfaction. all the waiters were professional, knowledgeable and gracious. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration and memorable and outstanding evening. Best diner experience ever on the Lake in over fifty plus years.
Beautiful evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. The entire evening was 5 star. Great table, great waiter, and wonderful cuisine.
The menu is very limited, only 5 entrees to choose from. The portions are extremely small. $80 for a steak that was maybe 3-4oz. The chicken is also very small and over seasoned for $60! The pasta dish is so small it was maybe 3 bites. I wish the restaurant would go back to the old menu. The place is beautiful and service was great but I won't be back until the menu changes and portions are larger for the astounding prices they charge.
From start to finish hands down one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. We started with Drinks in the lounge, which is absolutely stunning, with custom cocktails by Mike expertly executed and oh so delicious. Then we were shown to our table with views of gorgeous Lake Tahoe, perfect setting. We we greeted at the table by Edward and Hallace, who took extra special care of us, along with the other serving and bussing staff. Each dish was more delicious than the next. Totally fresh and local ingredients inspired the chef's offerings. A must do upscale dining experience. Sheer Perfection!!!
I truly am sorry to say this because we have always loved this restaurant. We were very disappointed in the menu (not that it was new news because I did look at it online). I guess I hoped something would change before we got there. I do not love chicken but that's what I ordered. The breast was fine but the liver pate(?) underneath was not for me. The fish is farmed (I can buy wild at Overland in town). We just couldn't find things we wanted to even try. The agnolotti was embarrassingly small in its portion, and frankly, disappointing. Desserts were the best, of the 3 the tiramisu was best. Cappuccinos were good and my wine was as well. (Sad to comment on the coffees but there were positive points to be had.) Thoroughly enjoyed talking with Troy the sommelier. Ciprian is a lovely young man. No one checked to see how our meals were (certainly there were many many service people around). We will not be back for food.

Amazing atmosphere presentation and service. Very much enjoyed the 5 course meal selections with wine pairings.
From the welcome at the bar to the last treat before leaving, we enjoyed every minute. The staff was friendly, helpful, and felt genuinely happy that we chose to dine with them. I recommend a glass of Novacaine at the bar before sitting for the 5-course tasting menu. Sit back, relax, and let the chef dazzle your tastebuds and the sommelier select the perfect wine. The Scallops and Wagyu were my favorite tastes. As locals, this may be our new goto for an exceptional night out. The prices are high so it will not be often but we definitely will return. The staff was amazing. We want to see them again. They make you feel at home smiles, conversation and not an ounce of stuffiness. Save up and don't miss the Edge for a really special occasion.
This place was fabulous! The food was delicious and the view of the lake was beautiful. We really loved the relaxed pace of service. We never felt rushed. The server, Edward, was so helpful and thorough. He really made the experience enjoyable. I am not sure how often the menu changes, but the House Made Corn Agnolloti was amazing.
Honestly, service was great. Servers were awesome. They took our picture. We went to celebrate our engagement. The bread, phenomenal, everything else. Not great and not the value it deserves. Elk chop, probably 3 oz and should be an appetizer. Nothing labeled regarding how many ounces, etc. We looked around to the birthday crowd getting desserts, we got nothing other than a piece of raspberry chocolate with a saying “happy anniversary” on it 😂 it was our engagement dinner, we expected a lot more for the bill that was attached with gratuity included. Servers were great though.
Absolutely love this Property! Thank you, Katie for making everything so amazing on our family trip!
