This was the most rushed and underwhelming experience! My husband and I made reservations for our 10 year anniversary and from the moment we walked up till the end I wished we would have skipped it and ate the 25$ late cancelation fee. The hostess clearly doesn’t like her job. You are the first point of contact so a smile and warm demeanour goes a long way which she had neither! We sat down and ordered all at once which maybe was our mistake. The cocktail took a bit too long and apps came out first. We finally got our cocktails half way through our app, which were both very good. Old fashions should be hard to mess up. And RIGHT after we got our cocktails we received our main, which you might remember we were only half way through our app. The New York strip we ordered medium-rare and it came out very rare. So it’s interesting that if they would have taken the appropriate time to cook our steak to the desired temp maybe it would have come out at a more appropriate time. We did send back the steak to have it cooked more. When we got the main back the side portions were both noticeably smaller. Once again, we called the server over and he offered to rectify yet another situation. Because everything came out so quickly I wasn’t even able to finish my meal, I was too stuffed, we had to box up the remainder. To make up for the mess ups and to celebrate our anniversary our server offered us a dessert on the house. We excepted knowing that we wouldn’t be able to finish it and we would also box it up to enjoy later. We were talked into the Banana Fosters cheesecake (our servers favorite). For a moment picture in your head what you imagine a banana fosters dessert to be. I imagined a cheesecake with a beautiful brown sugar syrup and fresh bananas on top. It was not that! It was just a stocked premade cheesecake with a caramel icing decoration on top and two stale banana chips! Our server did tell us the bananas were not flambéed in house but I didn’t care where they were done and didn’t really know what that meant, I still had a classic banana fosters in my mind (at least somewhat remotely close). All we could do was laugh. AND the kicker at the end was that the dessert said Happy Birthday instead of Happy Anniversary, which is just perfect and completely sums up the entirety of the care given by this establishment. The one saving grace was that our server was so nice and understanding and laughed with us through the experience.

My husband came here for our anniversary dinner, we had a view of the lake which was amazing and perfect as the sun went down. The food and staff were very friendly and helpful, my husband had elk, I had filet mignon , both very tender and well seasoned.

What a fabulous place to watch sunset on the lake and enjoy a filling and delicious meal. Plus great wine. Staff are fun and quick to respond to requests. Entrees are Priced appropriately.

Edward our server was excellent! The food was outstanding and unusual. From our appetizers to our main course the service and food was spectacular. The dessert was amazing and very unusual. The cocktails were very unique as well. I can't imagine a better place to dine in South Lake Tahoe!
We celebrated our best friends 53rd Anniversary last night. Everything was wonderful! Edward, our server, was amazing. He was very personable and attentive despite the fact they were short staffed last night. My husband and I are Tahoe locals and have been to Edgewood several times. We are looking forward to the upcoming changes and will return when they reopen next summer.

Loved Edgewood Restaurant. Wine choices were better than most places especially for by the glass. My filet was great and others loved the fish. I recommend getting the duck risotto and splitting it with someone. It's super rich but wonderful. Highly recommend this one.
We enjoyed a very special birthday dinner. We were seated in a lovely booth. All tables have lake views through stunning floor to ceiling cathedral windows. Our server Edward was outstanding! He was very attentive and accommodating. He even offered to take our photo on the outdoor deck at sunset, something I would have totally missed. The food was exquisite. We enjoyed the Cesar salad, lobster ravioli, rack of lamb, and lemon pucker dessert—very tart but tasty! Overall first class experience. Highly recommend. But make reservations in advance. The place is very busy with special events, such as weddings. Incomparable venue.
