Would be cautious of their nebulous “dress code”. My wife and child were turned away because we weren’t dressed “correctly” . We I asked the host (Mags) and manager ( Taylor Justice ?), which rule we broke according the website, they said none, I specifically asked if any piece I wore (dark collared shirts, dark jeans, dress sneakers) broke the rules, to which the host said “no, just the overall combination”. This was after a patron was allowed in with light flannel shirt and hiking sneakers.
So my take and what they are implying is the restaurant code is just based on any prejudicial whim the host and GM feels at the moment. Whether it be my fashion choice, my age, my status or my race… I guess I’ll never know.
Amazingly beautiful place. The view is outstanding The service impeccable I loved the tasting menu with wine pairing The staff had perfect knowledge of all the wines and foods We had an awesome time !
Great location and interior is beautiful! Expenses but your getting a beautiful experience
Unfortunately, My Husband and I were very disappointed with our experience at the Edge. Firstly, the restaurant was very cold and it was cold outside, so that didn't make for a good warm feeling coming in. Secondly our first waiter did not know how to take an order for a lemon drop recipe that was asked to be made unorthodoxly. Something I do in many restaurants that have never had an issue with that. He was young and inexperienced and was an assistant to our main waiter Michael, who was very knowledgeable and he deserves five stars. Unfortunately, there was another waiter who was also young who served the food that we ordered who spoke so quietly with a heavy accent that he was hard to understand. As far as the menu options... There was a five course prepared meal you could order. There was really nothing on that five course menu that sounded very good besides the Wagyu beef entrée. So we decided to order two appetizers two entrées and then a separate entrée of homemade corn creamed pasta which was inedible. My elk chop was good and My Husband‘s beef. Wagyu entrée was good as well. I wouldn't say over-the-top excellent for the price it cost. I would rather rate it “good.” in general, the entrées cost between $55 and $79, I would have expected them to be more memorable. There were not a lot of options on the à la carte menu. The duck appetizer was the best of everything. I would say in general, I would give the food a C. Not enough seasoning and sauces are way too heavy in butter. I'm sorry to leave such a negative review but it's very hard to go out for the night to spend that kind of money and not feel wowed. To add insult to injury... We were sat at a table where I faced people going in and out of the kitchen. That table should be diminished from the dining room. hope this feedback is helpful not destructive. I only share my honesty so that other people have a better experience.
I think we were misled when we went to this restaurant. (Two people recommended it.) We did not like the food. The menu was very limited. I ordered the chicken but could not eat it. It was too spicy. My husband ended up eating it. It DID NOT say anything about the chicken being spicy. The best part of the meal was the homemade chocolate ice cream. Everyone was very nice, but we didn't like the food- especially considering how expensive it was. We won't go back.
We have been to The Edge restaurant at Edgewood Resort in South Shore Lake Tahoe several times. The menu this trip was very limited and more expensive than ever. The menu was eclectic to be kind and the dishes were very bland and oddly plated. Can't beat the location and views. The staff is very good. But you can't overcome a weak menu and fair food for this money.
From the moment we walked in until the end the service was incredible! Definitely made the experience. Everything we had was delicious. Of course not an inexpensive meal but a lovely place to celebrate something! The views are incredible!
My elk chop was two temperatures off, ordered medium and got rare! Vodka martini undrinkable

If you visit Lake Tahoe, make time to have dinner at The Edge Restaurant. You will be delighted by the chef's creations. Superb, fresh and authentic food with novel taste combinations. Service is impeccable. Staff is attentive, engaging and thoughtful making for a delightful dining experience.
We booked the reservation two weeks ahead and the booking website didn’t clearly indicate the strict dressing code. Also the reminder of the dressing code was only sent through the voice mail on the dining day. As such, we were not allowed to enter the restaurant and had to dine at the bar. The manager came to explain and she mentioned she will call the front desk to see if something they can do to make up during our hotel stay. However we got nothing at this point. Overall it was a very frustrating experience.

Food was incredibly underwhelming.
They don’t know how to make poached eggs! This is such a basic dish, but in my breakfast the so-called poached egg was completely overcooked. Very disappointing.

The view was amazing during sunset. The service was great and the food was fantastic. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area for a true fine dining experience.
A fantastic meal with terrific service and a lovely view of Lake Tahoe. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and we were greeted with a champagne toast when we got to our table. All of the food we got for dinner was excellent (filet, trout, corn agnolotti) and the tiramisu for dessert was delightful.
