God bless you and your family, John S
It's gonzo! We stopped by to check it out and what to our surprise, it was completely empty, the only thing left was the sign! (Unless it moved somewhere else)?
Ivano's is by far my favorite place to eat in south lake Tahoe and one of the best restaurants I've been to period. I've been looking forward to coming back here after some time away and I'm extremely saddened to hear the passing of Ivano. RIP Ivano :( I'm going to miss your restaurant, your cooking, and your company..

We had our annual Christmas party for our Employees Saturday night. Everything was wonderful! Ivano and staff gave us top notch service. You must try the antipasto platter! The Chicken Marsala is oh so delicious and the garlic bread is to die for. Ivano’s Mama makes the best Tiramisu! You simply must try Ivanos.
I was very clear when ordering last night that I am lactose intolerant, and I wanted my meal to be prepared without any dairy. Our waitress Bambi, asked me if I wanted ranch dressing on my salad after I told her that I was lactose intolerant which indicates that she didn't really understand that I was lactose intolerant. When the meal came, it looked like there was butter on top, I asked her about this and she went back to check and then assured me that the meal was dairy-free. Ivano himself even came out and assured me that there was no dairy in the meal. I should have trusted my intuition as they're definitely was dairy and I was sick because of it. Not to mention, we were waiting for our food for nearly an hour. I will not be going back to ivano's!

Loved this restaurant and its owner. Delicious food and beautiful paintings to gaze at...was like being in an art gallery. Ivano was friendly and warm-hearted and told us his mother and friend were the artists who painted those paintings. Despite being the only one working that night, he still spent time talking to us.

Phenomenal dinner. Authentic Italian food. We were just driving by and thought we might try it out - glad we did! You have to try out the garlic bread too - we’ve never had any better!
I have been to Ivano's several times since they opened. I love this place. Genuine high quality Italian food made by Ivano and his team personally. Plan to take your time and enjoy the flavors. This is not the place if you are looking for fast food. I recommend the gnocchi plus Italian sausage and if you are really hungry, start with the Antipasto.
Our first time here. First round of hockey puck bread was burnt, second round was ok but should take a lesson from Primos in the area on the bread: we ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the place takes it for granted people like cheese on their pasta, we do not. The plate came with cheese, usually the server at other Italian places asks if we want parmesan. Meatballs were very good.

The BEST italian food. Everything from the pasta, chicken parm, to the minestone soup was divine. When my parents come to visit I always make a point to take them here. You can tell Ivano has a lot of passion for the food and experience he delivers.
The Italian Bread is bomb, also the Fig Pizetta very tasty! You will not be disappointed with your meal.

Ivano’s is a quaint and cozy Italian restaurant hidden in a strip mall about a half-mile off Highway 50 on Kingsbury Grade. Once you step inside the charming interior pleasantly contrasts with the strip mall appearance outside. It makes for a quick ride if you’re staying at or near the casino hotels. Be sure to make a reservation so they can save you a table! (Call and leave a message.) We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner starting with a nice salad and addicting bread and finishing with pasta entrees. The servings are as generous as they are delicious so there was no room for dessert. My husband ordered the homemade lasagna and it must have been 4-5” high, with layer upon layer of gooey goodness. My pasta dish was equally as good. It was hard to put my fork down! The prices were quite reasonable for both food and wine. Due to a couple of workers being absent the night we were there, Ivano himself greeted, seated, took orders, served meals and bussed tables…all with kindness and a smile. Each time we visit we dine out at an Italian restaurant. I would say that this was the best, most authentic Italian restaurant in Lake Tahoe.
Tucked away in a strip mall in lower Kingsbury is a gem of an Italian restaurant called Ivanos. Ivanos is an elegant and intimate dining establishment that hits all the notes of Italy. The menu covers true Neapolitan style with delectable dishes that always come with roasted rolls and a salad. The white tablecloths and candlelight offer a beautiful evening and with the attentive service belies the simple location. A full wine selection is also available. Ivano's mom helps and made the most delectable Cannoli. A crispy shell surrounds a light creamy center topped with fresh strawberries.
Hidden Italian gem in Tahoe! All fresh made high quality Italian food - just like you want served like grandma made it. Ivano owner comes out to check on tables often - he and is staff were great. Had an accordion player too to set the ambiance :). Highly recommend to anyone seeking a delicious home style Italian meal
