The place itself was pretty dumpy from the exterior, and entryway was also awkward and off-putting. Once seated, the super-friendly waitresses did a great job, offering quick and cheerful service. We got the 2 egg, hash browns, and biscuits w/sausage gravy for TEN BUCKS! What?? With that low price, we added an order of pumpkin pancakes to share. A MUST. Thick, fluffy and flavorful!
This location isn’t what’s shown in picture… although it shared the same high review. There are two locations, I visited this one (west one) , and we thought the place looked run down.
A simple diner with the best breakfast on Lake Tahoe! Filling and delicious options of all kinds on their menu with good coffee they just keep pouring. We don't often revisit a restaurant on vacation (we like to explore new options), but made an exception for The Red Hut. Highly recommend!
