We have been to Sapori a handful of times and each time it has been pretty yummy. I feel this last experience was elevated from my other ones. We started with Beet tar tar... don't let the title fool you. Farm fresh shaved golden and red beets with citrusy vinaigrette, sugared pecans and some creamy type cheese. It was a perfect balance of flavors! Let me say, I usually don't care for beets but, this was on another level. I got the lobster gnocchi... the lobster was...
Like most of the Lake Tahoe area, Sapori Italian Kitchen is old and tired and needs a refresh. I know some people will say that's the charm of Lake Tahoe, but just pointing out the obvious. The view from our table was the star of dinning experience. We had a reservation for four at 6:15, but didn't get seated until 6:40 because the restaurant didn't have any four top tables ready. Plenty of 2 and larger tables which for some reason they couldn't sit our party...
I had the caesar salad and the lasagna and both were really good. The service was great. My waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. And the views from this restaurant are amazing! I would definitely recommend eating here!
