Food is just ok, not as good as I expected from others review, the look of food mostly looks good until the rainbow roll come… it is so different from other sushi place 😆 sushi restaurants decorated American sporty style… service is average. No dessert from AYCE. And sorry, use credit card will be charge extra %.

The food looked great, tasted horrible. We had to leave. I can eat supermarket sushi but I couldn’t eat this. How do you ruin miso soup?

I will make this very simple. THEY WILL FORGET YOUR ORDER.

No need for me to explain this a lot. Just read the other reviews. You will end up waiting hours to get your food. They will lose it again and again and will have clue as to why.

Sashimi is not part of AYCE. most rolls have too much sweet sauce on them, hard to taste the fish

I made the mistake of going back. I haven't been since covid because the last time was bad. But... This is on the corner of my street, and I was starving, so I thought I'd try again. Has to be the worst Sushi I've ever had. I've never had to spit out seaweed wrap, but for some reason it was so chewey it was like a bad/old piece of gum. Every. Single. Roll. I couldn't chew through it, so I spit it out. Rice was not a proper sticky rice either. Bad texture. And the spicy tuna left an odd after taste that I couldn't finish. I tried 3 rolls. Usually I can eat 4 or 5 if I go somewhere else. All bad. I finally balled up the last 4 or 5 pieces into a napkin to not seem like I was wasting food, because the menu says they charge more if you waste, but I just couldn't bear it. I didn't want to get screwed out of waste AND quality, so I just kept pushing through till I couldn't.
The service was fast and nice, though, so I still tip. It's not his fault. But, wow. I could have had pre-made sushi from a 711 and been happier. Never again.

Great spot for sushi lovers! 🍣 For $45 you can eat as much as you want, with a huge variety — rolls, nigiri, sashimi, tempura sushi, and desserts. Everything is fresh and delicious. Just make sure to pace yourself and order wisely so you can try as many different items as possible without wasting food. Nice atmosphere and quick service. I’ll definitely be back!

Do not come here, I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I don't even write reviews but this service at this restaurant absolutely deserves a bad one. While it is one of the few sushi restaurants in Tahoe, the food was okay and the service made it even worse. They forgot our food multiple times and when we had brought it up to their manager, they threw the blame on our party saying that AYCE means that if the restaurant forgot our order we should order it again or notify our server, which we did multiple times. I understand a restaurant being busy but the bare minimum should be that we receive the food we ordered. Instead, we had to repeatedly follow up and they still made our party tip. The manager's unwillingness to take responsibility just made the whole experience disappointing. If you're looking for sushi or just food in general, I'd suggest looking elsewhere cause it's trash here.
