Lots of weird little surcharges, like the burger says there's cheese melted on it in the menu, but when you order it. They charge you $2 extra for cheese

From the moment that we entered the front door service was great even though it was NYE. The manager was tentative to all customers in the establishment (Great Job) little embarrassed I don’t remember his name. As for the food the Braised Short Rib is the BEST we have had. The flavors of the plate and the tenderness of the meat are unforgettable. Also we want to add the water that is served please have a couple glasses. Best tasting water!!!

AFTER LEAVING A POSITIVE REVIEW LAST TIME, I TAKE IT ALL BACK. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN, AND I HOPE MANY OTHERS DO THE SAME.
I brought a large group of friends only to find hidden in our tab, a service fee. It's not the dollar amount, it's the fact that they hide this fee inside there hoping nobody realizes it. I get it that credit card companies charge a fee. But so does the water company so does that mean they're going to start charging us if you use the restroom and flush the toilet? Does this mean a restaurant should charge his customers for ice because that costs money too? This nickel and diming nuisance fees are ridiculous. I will be sure to never return to this place again.

Finally a restaurant that should survive in that jinxed location. Service was absolutely phenomenal, the ambience was the perfect tavern, and while the prices weren't exactly cheap, the food was definitely good.

We visited Tahoe Tavern & Grill during the busy holiday week between Christmas and New Year’s, and it was a fantastic experience! Despite being a bustling establishment, perfect for kids and large groups, we were in and out in under two hours. The cozy, warm environment was just what we needed in the middle of winter.

The staff was clearly working hard to manage the holiday crowds, and their efforts didn’t go unnoticed. They were friendly and attentive once they had a moment to reach our table, which we appreciated.

As for the food, everything was delicious! We started with the chicken wedge bites—perfectly spicy and flavorful. For entrees, the seared ahi tuna was our favorite, though we loved how the vegetable lasagna arrived piping hot, making it a comforting choice.

The Tahoe Tavern & Grill team truly deserves credit for keeping up with the holiday rush. Any negative reviews should be taken with a grain of salt—they’re doing an amazing job. Highly recommend this spot for a family-friendly dining experience in Tahoe!

Really tasty food, probably the best short ribs and lasagna we ever had.

Somehow our order was never sent within the system. Understandable, but could one of the staff members realize something was off when huge groups that came in after we ordered were having their food delivered before us? One runner even brought us a side of ranch dressing for some reason and didn’t have the smarts to think why he was delivering ranch to a table with no food.

Moving past the mishap in service, the food was pretty terrible. Onion rings were decent but way too saturated in oil, my kid’s pizza literally looked like a Costco microwaveable pizza, the bun of my Korean fried sando was falling apart and soggy and the chicken itself was clearly frozen breaded chicken that they heated up - it was tough and I gagged when I tried a piece on its own. The side of sweet potato fries were also soggy. My wife’s Birria tacos were nothing special, but proabbly the best tasting food on the table as my othe son ordered a plain burger that looked dry and came with Costco frozen fries that were under done.

Given they somehow have 4.6 stars, my guess is we got the short end of the stick tonight and maybe didn’t order the right food? The staff were friendly, however, and it’s Christmas so I’m throwing in an extra star. Sadly, we won’t be back.

Been three times.
First time, Nashville chicken sandwich was excellent. Service great. Second, food was blah. Very blah. Service meh.
Third time, Korean chicken sandwich terrible. Order was taken incorrectly for another item. And wrong drink served. Downhill trajectory.

OMG, everything at Tahoe Tavern & Grill is amazing—I’m not joking! If you’re anywhere near Stateline, NV, do yourself a favor and come here. Hands down, it’s the best restaurant in Tahoe.

The menu is packed with hits, and I haven’t found a single thing I didn’t love. My personal favorites are their dry rub wings (perfection!), tacos, burgers, and pizza. Even their desserts are a solid 10/10.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is an absolute must-visit. Incredible food, great vibes. Just go, you won’t regret it!

Jake is the man. He’s passionate about his bar, loves to take care of his patrons and the employees. Felt right at home being from Texas. Looking forward to my next visit.
