Such a quiet and beautiful spot—perfect for getting some work done or just relaxing and enjoying the view. A lovely place to unwind.

My friend and I were passing by, we were very nicely met by the security guard at the entrance, he told us how to get there, very wonderful communication, in the cafe a wonderful guy and girl were talking, everything was delicious and impeccable, we did not pay for parking, we understood that it was free! Maybe we do not understand the language well, since we are from Ukraine and could have misunderstood something 🙈

Gorgeous place to sit and sip your coffee. You do have to pay to valet your vehicle

Awesome almond croissant, great coffee, and VERY GOOD service! The coffee place is open for walk-ins, no need to be the resort guest.

I'm currently having issues with the Reservations Manager with a refund of a deposit made on a stay for the end of the month. I've canceled within the 7 day policy. But am being told the bank won't allow the refund to go through. But my bank on the other hand is telling me it should be able to go thru without a problem. So currently I'm being told by edgewood to do a charge back through my bank to get my refund! What a mess!! Very unhappy I have to deal with this to get my refundable deposit back. I'm sure this is a beautiful resort, but lesson learned forsure! Beware of this resort!!

Absolutely the best experience my wife and I have ever had at a resort. From the location, things to do, Food and natural beauty of the property and rooms. Everyone we met from staff members to other guests were extremely friendly and helpful. Yes, it’s a little pricy because they only offer valet parking as well but it’s worth it. Expect about $100 a day extra for the resort and parking fees.

This coffee shop is at a beautiful resort, but the service is HORRIBLE. My wife and I are staying at the resort and went here for breakfast, only to be completely ignored by the girl at the register. We had to ask about breakfast, where she rudely just said “we are out”. 0 eye contact, barely engaged and overall one of the worst experiences of customer service we have ever experienced. Will not be going back during our week long stay.

I had a fantastic time at the resort. I come to South Lake Tahoe a few times a year, and staying at Edgewood has been on my list. I'm a Travel Advisor and wanted to experience it so I could speak first hand about the property to my clients. Everything was top notch... The rooms, the food, the amenities, and the access to the lake, town, trails, etc. were all superb. I can't recommend Edgewood Tahoe Resort highly enough. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My Daughter was recently married at Edgewood and all I can say is the entire experience with the Edgewood event planning staff was atrocious. The lack of professionalism, communication, and overall lack of caring was not what we expected from a venue with this reputation. The only saving grace was our outstanding external wedding planner who was also appalled by the experience we had with the event staff. Here is just a small example of what we went through: The wedding was to take place in August of this year. In June there were a number of open items to be finalized with Edgewood. My Daughter, wife, and our external wedding planner tried to reach our point of contact at Edgewood. After 2 weeks of non-response calls were made to Edgewood and we were told the person was very busy but leave a VM and she would call back. That never happened I ended up having to call the GM of Edgewood to get some assistance. Only then did we find out the person assigned to the wedding had taken leave. No one at Edgewood reached out to tell us we had find out 3 weeks later on our own! Apologies were made but it took another week before we were assigned another Edgewood event staff person. We essentially lost almost a month of time raising the stress level and angst associated with the planning higher then it needed to be. It was clear from the start that the new person from Edgewood knew nothing about the plans to date and was not thrilled about having the wedding added to her plate. Her communication was abrupt and infrequent considering the clock to August was ticking and there was a great deal to finalize with Edgewood. As an example, my Daughter had done an initial tasting and menu selection in March. However, nothing was written down by the previous Edgewood team so that had to all be redone with Edgewood in July! The new person also went on vacation during this time and did not let us know or have anyone else from Edgewood fill in. We found out she was on vacation by again having to make phone calls to Edgewood leadership. Vacation is great just let us know your going and who we can talk to in your absence considering the wedding was only a month away. When she returned she complained to my Daughter that we were going to get her in trouble. Super unprofessional but par for the course as we were exposed throughout the process to all Edgewood's disfunction. My wife and Daughter were guaranteed early access to their rooms the day of the rehearsal. This was critical as rehearsal was at 4:00 PM with dinner at 5:00 and welcome drinks at 6:00. Of course when they arrived the rooms were not ready and the resort manager had not received notice from the Edgewood event team that early check in was needed. In fact, my wife had to produce the email from the Edgewood event staff confirming early check in as the resort manager could not believe they would have made that commitment. Again exposure to the disfunction and impact on the client. They had to wait a half hour to eventually access the rooms. The Edgewood event staff persons behavior was awful the day of the wedding and after to the point where we asked her to not contact us directly any longer. Even worse, I called management to make them aware of the numerous issues at the wedding and was promised a follow up call. You guessed it: No follow up. My advice would be to choose another spot in Tahoe where the staff values and cares about each client not just the dollars.

Resort had beautiful grounds; however, problem with air conditioning in resort, rooms. Also, would recommend to go into town and eat lunch or dinner at Lucky Beaver. Brunch at resort good outside. Breakfast also good. Watch front desk as not always correct with information

While the folks at Burning Man were stuck in mud we were getting rained on but this resort made it bearable. Excellent staff, great food, valet service and transport made our stay great. Rooms well appointed, excellent housekeeping staff great location and grounds.

This visit was not as expected. On Friday evening, The waiter at bistro was quick to judge the seating for a party of one. Based on his demeanor and limited engagement, he made it seem like a party of one was not worth his time. I ordered a nonalcoholic beverage and the salmon dish with a Caesar salad to start. He continued to ask very pressingly if I was having wine or cocktail. The food itself was good. I sat at the bar the next day to have a couple drinks. It was clear the bartenders were not engaging. They did not have an interest in interacting with guests other than serving drinks and taking payment. Very transactional. When asked about a local restaurant and recommendation, the bartender literally said “just google it”. I was very put off when only trying to get a local restaurant recommendation. Housekeeping failed to arrive to clean the room during the next day of my stay. I contacted the front desk and they were not at all sensitive to my concerns and suggested that the privacy note was on the door - The privacy notice was NOT on the door. I then contacted housekeeping, they said they will send someone right away when it was all ready 3pm. I told them how disappointing this was and asked them to do everything during the turn down service. When I returned after turn down, I noticed that dirty glasses were not removed, dirt and debris remained on the floor - no vacuuming was done. the only things that were done were the towel removal and bedding. This was very upsetting and frustrating. I woke up early the next day and decided to check out early. The only pleasant staffer was Charlie from concierge. He was very receptive and generous with his work/time. He took interest in my stay and answered all questions. Simple customer service goes a long way and it’s clear that Charlie has this quality characteristic.

Could be a fantastic property but with no competition they are not driven to improve. Polite staff but the hotel lacks character and the food is terrible. Good for golf but that is about it. The rooms were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep.
