Fabulous dinner experience. Our waiter Jim was very considerate and supportive to enjoy the evening at our timely pace. The food was tasteful. The oyster Rockefeller wasn't hot. But tasty. Sage prepared the coffee diablo. The coffee diablo was prepared at our table. I will skip the coffee diablo next time. Unless, if the presentation explained the contents in the drink, instead of us asking HIM what he was doing and pouring . We will return. However, we won't order too much next time. Prices were high, for a party of four. Mahalo for the complimentary birthday dessert.
We made a reservation for the window seat. Upon seating, we saw that our table seems to be added temporarily in front of the pestle. I can see the window but I am more an extra table on the way of the waiters. I constantly have people walking by and hit my chairs. It took the waiter a long time to come greet us and take our orders. We ordered some drinks and food altogether. When our steaks are here, the drinks were still missing. We told our waiter and he apologize that he forgot. The steaks are very salty and service is very slow, we will not be back.
Amazing food and superior service. Everything about our visit was perfect. Can not wait to visit SAGE again. General manager Frank Greco was very accommodating to our large party, he called to earlier in the day to see if our group could come 30 minutes early. We got to experience the most magnificent sunset. Love Sage and will definitely visit again next time in Tahoe.
I ordered medium rare filet, it arrived medium well. Sent it back, next filet was much better, maybe a little rare but heck there's always leftovers. My husband ordered the prime rib, sent it back and he didn't order anything else. Of course, his steak came off the bill. I rather enjoyed the Pinot noir. Asked by Open table what type of table we wanted. Guaranteed window table, lake view, hmm it's January and the sun goes down 5-5:30pm, $50 each seat. I find that hysterical and ridiculous in the winter or after the sun has gone down. Probably won't go back
Jericho (our server) and the Floor Manager on Friday night were both incredible. The entire staff made us feel comfortable and surprisingly important. Our food was fantastic. I would recommend to anyone I like.
We have been going to Sage Room for 20+ years. For the last few years, we have noticed the food is not as good as it used to br. The quality of the food is still good, but the preparation is lacking. We ordered 2 appetizers, the ravioli and the shrimp and both did not taste good. My filet seemed like it was pre-cooked and then put under a warmer to stay warm. Also, why serve a whole carrot and nothing else with a steak? It did not go together at all. No juice whatsoever in the steak. We ordered Au Gratin Potatoes that were expensive and tasted terrible. Even the dessert tasted kind of old. You need a better CHEF! This is the 3rd time I have been disappointed with the food. For that reason, we usually go to Friday's Station when in Tahoe. I will go to Friday's station only when in Tahoe from now own.
Our dinner a Sage was fantastic. Hal our waiter, has been there since 1988 and his knowledge and helpfulness was exceptional. The food was phenomenal and the views simply cannot be beat! If you are in the area I would highly recommend getting a reservation.
Hal did an amazing job as our server. He made great recommendations and did frequent follow ups to make sure everything was good. Mr. Greco, the Sage Room Manager was full of good humor and very engaging. Thank you Sir for an amazing evening.
Excellent food and service. The view here is unbeatable, but we were there at night so less viewable that during daylight hours. Prime rib was perfectly cooked. Carrot soup was my favorite, so tasty! i felt the prices were appropriate for fine dining and service was fantastic. We will be back.
Excellent meal and service at the Sage room. Our server, Teddy, was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious as were the specialty drinks we ordered. We had an early dinner so caught a beautiful sunset over Lake Tahoe. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

We had an exceptional dining experience. Our waiter Jim and assistant, Bones were very engaging and attentive. The food was amazing. Definitely recommend the New York Steak. The Early Bird special was amazing!
Dining experience was great! Expensive but it's an experience. Would recommend the table side coffee for desert! (Or any table side desert!)

Always great food and service. Definitely a "date night" or special occasion type restaurant. Menu used to be standard, but now changes with the season - which can be a good thing, but some of my favorite appetizers weren't available. Overall, still a great place, and definitely will return again in the future...
Wow, what a great dinner. I had celery root soup that was probably the best soup I've ever had. Main course I had the lobster tails with asparagus and both were cooked perfectly and they were outstanding. Anthony and Johnny provided excellent service. It was a difficult day personally and Anthony,Johnny and Frank the general manager were kind, compassionate and very attentive to my well being. I can't thank them enough for going above and beyond for me. Highly recommend Sage Room.
