MENDOZAS COFFEE SHOP

Recently, this place has disappointed me more and more. For example, today I ordered chilaquiles verdes, and it was lukewarm, salty, with very little salsa, served in a smaller container, and hardly any chilaquiles. It used to be a great-sized meal, but the last couple of times the portions have been small. This “meal” cost me $15.96 with a 20-minute wait time. I understand things cost more, but charging high prices for snack-sized meals is a little ridiculous.
Well, it was good while it lasted. Based on the amount of food you’re getting and the prices charged, I cannot recommend it.

The breakfast burrito with beef at Mendonzas is absolutely perfect, well-seasoned, generous, and with that spot-on balance of texture and flavor that makes you want to come back the next day. The horchata latte is another highlight: smooth, balanced, and just sweet enough.
The service is wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely sweet. It's definitely worth trying and I'll order again!

Staff is super friendly and helpful. It was my first time visiting and I had no idea what coffee concoction I wanted...I was encouraged to order the iced horchata, and made it a mocha with a drizzle of caramel per the barista's suggestion. SO GOOD!!! Next time I will have to make sure to order a breakfast burrito too as that was a constant item ordered by the people ahead of me.

Just ordered a chorizo burrito on 10/19/2025 and there was a black long hair in my burrito. Disgusting
They also forgot our esquite and our hot coffee…..

Ordered my food sat down and never received it but my friend did.
I went to ask for a refund after 40 mins and the girl just asked the cook if he didn’t make it??. Then said sorry, and gave my the refund so I left.

MENDOZA'S, a charming coffee shop in Sun Valley, offered delightful outdoor seating along the side. The seasonal Horchata-Pumpkin hot coffee was exceptionally good. The breakfast sandwich was a delicious selection along with the mini pancakes. It is certainly worth trying.

The food here is always a hit, and even better…THE COFFEE. Today I tried the Churro Latté and to say I’m in love is an understatement. Their salsas always pair extraordinarily well with the food and my 18 month old adores the mini pancakes. Because of Mendozas, I had a wonderful morning. Don’t hesitate to purchase from this place, it’s well worth it. 🇲🇽❤️ ☕️

We stopped in for breakfast yesterday and were quite impressed. Breakfast sandwiches and mini pancakes were wonderful and coffee was excellent.
Dining areas are also clean and comfortable.
Will return the next time I'm in Reno.
