We stopped in for a coffee, mimosa and a slice of pumpkin pie to-go. Exceptional customer service and the best slice of pumpkin pie I've ever had in my life. Great experience.

This is one of my favorite places to eat! The cafe is a heartwarming, charming, and a welcoming place to be. The staff is friendly and feels like family. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The food today was delicious (as usual). We had the bacon and eggs, blackened salmon Benedict, and the special blueberry venison sausage turned into a Benedict. Everything was cooked beautifully and seasoned perfectly. I can't wait for another amazing meal at Canvas Cafe!

this place was dirty, the bathroom was dirty and unkept and the sink clogs. there was a lipstick stain on my drinking glass that looks like it wasn't even rinsed off. my potatoes were hard and not fully cooked. the other people in here were outwardly so loud. some of the locals just hang out here for a while. the waitress was nice tho

Beware!!!! We went for breakfast on Sunday. The Server that we had was very nice, they didn't have a table when we walked in so she took our number, and said it would be about 40 min and she'd text when the table was ready. She did send a text, and it was much sooner than she had said. This part was lovely. We ordered the Classic Benedict's, Bloody Mary, and Corned beef Hash and Eggs. The food was mediocre at best, the Hollandaise sauce was really thin almost translucent and not creamy looking, the eggs were hard, and potatoes on the side were under cooked. But this was not the alarming part..., it was the fact that someone came out of the back... maybe a cook not really sure. She had a jar of Mayonnaise that she was dipping a spoon into eating spoon fulls and re-dipping that spoon in the jar! Do they use this for food they prepare for guests? And the other server that was there, had a bottle of vodka and she was drinking it straight from the bottle, again do they use this to make drinks for guests.. literally made my stomach turn.. since we had already eaten. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Visited Virginia City with my Daughter. The Cafe was our first stop for some breakfast. I ordered the special biscuits & gravy it was so delicious!! Coffee was hot and fresh. My daughter got a omelette with juice. The servers were so friendly as most are in this little quaint town. There are so many things to look at and the chalk table was a fun way to pass time together. I will be back for lunch!!

Normally I don’t do this but the owner really needs some quality control here. Ordered bacon and eggs (over medium) that came with bread and home fries. Eggs came out runny with broken yolks, potatoes weren’t fully cooked, bread was barely toasted, and they forgot the bacon at first. All of it luke-warm. I was kinda shocked that every part of the meal was not good.
As far as esthetics and atmosphere... I love this place! It's got a fun and funky vibe. The service is friendly but not very attentive. I ordered eggs Benedict with my eggs over hard... the whole meal was barely cooked. It had soft English muffins, running eggs and barely cooked bacon instead of ham! My husband ordered an omelet and it somehow got missed on the order, so it came out appropriately 30 min later! The waitress only offered 10% off the bill which was basically nothing for the bad meal and the other meal being so much later! On a positive note a band was playing which helped the overall experience.

Not good food at all. Last year was A+. Don't have Milk or Pancakes. Asked why got a answer milk goes bad and I don't do pancakes in a snooty way. One place does do pancakes and they are clear across town. To far to walk. Loose the comic outfits. It is not you. Yes I can be nasty too. I will not be back...

This place sucks! The burger that I ordered was mostly burnt. My Grandma took a bite and it made her tummy upset. I’ll never come back here. Besides I live 9 hours away in Oregon. Writing this review as my tummy hurts :( :( . ALL CUSTOMERS DON’T ORDER A CHEESEBURGER!!! DON’T EVEN COME HERE AT ALL!!! Also the French fries looked like hash browns and there was only like six of them

4 of us went there for breakfast, They come asking what we wanted to drink, Hot Chocolate, water and two sodas, WE got coffee instead of hot chocolate. Then we ordered, It all came out and look good, one plate should have been over easy and the other should have been over well, The eggs come that way but on wrong plate, Then there was a sausage omelet, But it was a mushroom omelet. Walk inside to see if we could get the right omelet and as we were talking someone said I got your omelet and you got mine. So just saying there is better places to eat at in Virgina city.
