The Cider House at Canvas Cafe

We travel to Virginia city several times a year from Arizona. Cider House is our go to stop for breakfast. Food is delicious and the service is exceptional.

Always very happy with our meals and such friendly faces serving us! ❤️

We had a large party with kids and the waiter did such an incredible job taking care of us. The food was really incredible too!

We just have the best breakfast the best service at the cider house at Canvas Café. They will definitely be our return destination list on our next visit to Virginia City highly recommend them.!

Well… made a private dinner party reservation (with a deposit) with Cider Factory back in December for next Friday. Heard through the grape vine they moved (ok fine but maybe call the people who have large dinner parties reserved WITH a deposit)… called and talked to Dustin at the beginning of April and he said the new facility was fine and would be ready for our party of 40 and that Heidi would follow up about the menu. Nothing back. We’ve called many times over the past month as they told us to finalize the menu a month in advance, with no answer or return. FINALLY get a hold of Dustin today and he proceeds to act put off by the call due to the “lunch rush” and to call back at 4. Call back at 4 and Heidi is yelling in the background as to what we want and that she’s busy, Dustin says call back at 6. So call back at 6 and she makes every excuse in the book as to why there’s been no communication, then has no record of the reservation and deposit and that the restaurant isn’t ready for that type of party (when Dustin said it was, no problem). Heidi then claims to refund the deposit then changes her mind. Thankfully we started making backup plans in April for our dinner with not being able to get a hold of anyone. I’m not one to blast a business online, but don’t take a deposit then not communicate about moving or return calls for menu finalization, say the restaurant is ready then it’s not, and finally gaslight like it’s our fault we booked with them to begin with….Regardless, happy to be taking our business elsewhere as there’s plenty of good restaurants in Virgina City but very disappointing.

The service was great there and they did a great job on the food! We felt very welcomed and plan on coming again.

Great place. Food was like grandma used to make. Everything was spot on. The waiter was running his butt off but was a great communicator. Chicken fried steak and eggs and Breakfast sandwich are must try’s. Coffee was very good too. Prices are very reasonable.
