The Prospector Cafe was a let down. We were told by the front desk they had good breakfast. I had a hamburger and fries that were good. My husband had breakfast, the biscuits and gravy were cold to the touch not even warm.

Their food is pretty goodbwhen they get it right. The prices have doubled from what they were before I remember getting their burger meal for 5.99 now it's almost $20, their food prices have gone up but the food quality is still the same smh. The staff is friendly but why TAKE FOR EVER to check up on you or bring your food.

Apparently they raised their prices significantly since the menu prices shown on here. $16 for 2 of the driest unflavored eggs, potatoes, toast, and mediocre bacon. Seriously, like going to a hospital cafeteria. I am truly disappointed in what I hoped would be a good start to a long driving day.

They took off the grilled cheese sandwich as well. So funny how these ppl like to treat those of us who kept them in business once they start getting a little busier. Wendover in my opinion sucks! This use to be a reason to go....not anymore! I would not go here with the way they treat their patrons.

My brother recommended this place and said it was so good and inexpensive so me and my boyfriend were very excited to try it, although my brother did recommend getting breakfast food, & maybe if we had done that this review would be different, but we went around dinner time & wanted to get something dinnerish ya know. I got the Philly cheese steak sandwich which came with fries & he got the chile verde burrito, it did come with a small portion of rice & beans & he said it was okay like the flavor was okay but he just wasn't that impressed & I definitely was not impressed with the sandwich & it was over $45 bucks just for that! For a burrito, a sandwich, & some fries! So yeah we will definitely not be returning there or when we do come back to Wendover & decide to give it another chance, we'll get the breakfast. The server was nice though & the next night... So my boyfriend carries around a 64 Oz like water jug, and the pilot on their fountain drinks doesn't have water, and it's pretty big so I wasn't sure where we were going to be able to fill it at, so we decided to try the Prospectors Cafe (we were staying at the Red Garter so it was right down stairs) & the girl was so kind & set sure no problem I can do that, & took it back & filled it with nice cold water! So the servers kind food, not so good.
