Looking for a local, uniquely rural Nevada bar to hang for a while before the Winter Holiday Faire parade. We found it at the Bar M which is on the street where the parade was held. Sweet! But we almost didn't make it as there were people inside but the door was locked. Luckily before we turned to find another place the owner, who was a very friendly and nice lady opened the door and invited us in, that is if we didn't mind some friends who were there with their toddlers. She didnt want any patrons offended by kids in the bar. Nice! We didn't but they left to watch the parade shortly after. Typical downtown local bar. Long bar against one wall plus a variety of pool/shuffleboard tables. Western rancher decor (naturally). You could tell it could be a party place for kids and cowboys. So the four of us sat and talked to the owner while she served us (strong) drinks, told us stories, we saw the fake ID hall of shame, and wandered in and out watching the parade go by. A real fun evening all around. This is a locals place. Nothing fancy. Friendly people, inexpensive drinks and just fun. This is rural Nevada.

Anna and Tom are very friendly host and owners. People love to go and see Ahna, she loves her customers. Plys and sings along, and has an all around great time each and ever day!

Went to this bar after a bull riding in town. Great place. Owner is super nice and easy on the eyes. They had a live band that night and drew a good variety crowd complete with plenty of eye candy for those liking to look and lokking to like. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I were only in Winnemucca for 8 days and looking for a fun place that we could hang out, get to know some locals, play some pool, and drink some beer. Bar M was around the corner from our hotel, that was already a plus. We had the best time at this bar! Anna, the owner/bartender was so fun, she was a blast to hang out with, she made great drinks, and she knew the history of their beautiful, dark wood, old hutch bar that went the full length of the back wall. We played pool with some locals and really had the best time, exactly what we were hoping for. I would go back to this bar any day of the week, well except Sunday and Monday, they are closed, lol.
