We always order our takeout from El Alteno! They have the best tacos in Yerington, and if for some reason they are closed, we don’t go somewhere else, we just wait until they are open again! Their prices are amazing, and all of their employees are super friendly and great representatives of their company!
Super friendly staff!!! They have a large menu. Ordered the enchilada and tostada, both chicken. They were both very good. Beans and rice were tasty as well. The chips were ok. Tasted like they had been sitting a bit, but over all we throughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!!!
While it is a bit off the main highway if you're just passing through town on 95, I can tell you that it's well worth the detour and stop if you're looking for some really good Mexican food. And don't judge a book by it's cover or maybe you should if you look at hole in the wall establishments the way that I do because I can assure you that the inside of this place is warm and cozy and comfortable with nice booths and seating throughout.
