The very best!!! Maxine made the cake for our wedding and WOW it was stunning (and so delicious)! My husband and I live in Michigan and she helped us think through flavor choices and combinations since we couldn't come in for a tasting. Overall, amazing experience and we highly recommend Maxine for any cake needs - you'll be in great hands!

I cannot stress enough how happy my partner and I are with our cake from Maxine! We got a spice cake with a brown sugar buttercream and apple compote and it was so delicious, had great flavor, was moist, and well balanced. We were complimented all night about how our cake is the first any of our friends ever had at a wedding and actually loved.I made sure to actually get a piece for myself and it was the perfect end to the evening.Maxine is also just so easy to work with and accommodating and I cannot stress enough how happy we are with our experience!

Most delicious wedding cake ever! Working with Maxine was so easy and enjoyable - the cake tasting was a lot of fun and we were so happy with our final wedding cake both in terms of look and taste. Not all cakes are created equal and this cake was fantastic!

Ooo! Our wedding cake from Maxine's was so charming and delicious. We found her name on our venue's vendor list. Frankly, we were not sure if we had enough money for a cake from her but some pleasant and unexpected budget shifts happened and we were able to order a cake for our wedding (6/9/18). We have no regrets about our decision, especially after searching for other bakeries. Her craftsmanship is refined and the icing and cake textures were perfection. My husband and I decided upon an older Martha Stewart cake design: a buttery yellow frosted cake base with piped festoons along the edges in a paler tonal yellow (we are not fans of the naked cake trend.) We scheduled a tasting and consultation and left knowing that Maxine would do a beautiful job and it was one more thing we could check off of our list! We couldn't have been happier with the results. Her delivery rate is also very reasonable and she came right on time. The three tiers of lemon poppyseed cake with blackberry jam and airy buttercream were thoroughly enjoyed by us and our guests… We forgot to save ourselves a slice but maybe we'll just have to get ourselves an anniversary cake in the future. We chose Maxine after an extensive search for a vendor to make our wedding cake. I had such a specific vision in my mind, and Maxine absolutely nailed it-- it was actually even more perfect than I ever could have thought possible! Not only did the cake look unbelievable, but it TASTED even better! Guests raved about it, and my husband and I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. On top of her amazing work, Maxine herself is amazing! What a lovely and easy-going person to work with on an otherwise chaotic day. She was the perfect choice, and we can't recommend her enough!

Maxine made our wedding cakes and we couldn't have been happier! If you are trying to figure out where to get your cakes from, save yourself the time and book Maxine - you won't regret it. We tried several bakers in the hudson valley + catskill areas before choosing maxine and we chose her because her cakes were by far the best tasting and because she was so easy to work with. She made us 3 different flavors of cake and we still can't decide which we liked best - they were all phenomenal. She is so very good at what she does and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding or event!

Maxine is great at what she does - no question! My husband and I weren't originally planning to have a cake (until it was gifted to us) so we weren't sure of exactly what we wanted in the beginning. I looked around and reached out to a few vendors in the area but wasn't over the moon about the quality, taste, or look of their work (I eventually decided I was going for something natural and rustic - without fondant of any kind and with a focus on flavor). When we found Maxine, we were impressed and so relieved! She created exactly the kind of cake we were looking for! She was extremely thorough in her work - our initial conversation was designed to gauge flavors my husband and I liked and discuss the overall look and theme of the wedding. She was very accommodating and easy to work with - I sent her my Pinterest board and she was able to create something with exact feel of what I was looking for. We ended up going with a honey and rosemary naked cake, with buttercream frosting. It looked beautiful and tasted amazing. She dressed it with the same flowers from the wedding and delivered it promptly on the day of the wedding. I would not hesitate to recommend her to a friend or work with her again in the future.
