We just moved to Albion in June. It's a small town, but don't let that fool you! They have A lot to offer, including GREAT FOOD! We decided to try this place out for a date night. Something we don't get to do often, so we made sure it was an extra special place. First off, the history alone drew us in. We love history so this place was perfect! I ordered the surf and turf. Scallops and filet mignon. Everything was seasoned so perfectly, I didn't even need to use sauce or add any extra S&P. Cooked to a medium rare perfection!! The scallops!!?? CHEFS KISS! My husband ordered the prime rib, which they are famous for. He was not disappointed! Sooo much meat for such a great and reasonable price! We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the vegetable soup. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Again, just seasoned and cooked to perfection! We can't wait to share this little slice of Heaven in our new town with all our family!

Excellent service and food. Going out of business. Excellent opportunity for someone to carry on the great tradition of Friday fish fry. And fantastic steaks!

Great service....very friendly and accommodating for food allergies. I had broiled haddock and everyone else had the prime rib. Food was terrific.

After spending 50 minutes driving all the way out to Albion, we foud the restaurant to be closed. It was Saturday January 8th around 12:30 pm. The restaurant states they are open for lunch, but no one was there. No signage o the door stating hours either. It would be considerate to post the updated hours. If you are no longer open for lunches, please state that. We will not be returning.

My buddies and I ate here two nights in a row while on a fishing trip. The first night we all had the prime rib. A perfectly cooked slab of meat. The Carriage cut is a 3 lb masterpiece. Don't miss their dressings that are homemade. My favorite was the parmesan peppercorn but the blue cheese was a big hit at our table too. The salad is huge. Our second night only one went back to the prime rib well. It was great again. Three others tried the fried seafood platter and it was met with mixed reviews. The breading was pretty thick and greasy, maybe go with broiled. I had bacon wrapped pork tenderloins that were fabulous. What really made our 2nd dinner special was the attention received by our server, Rose. She was fabulous and on top of every request. We had a lot of special requests and she kept her composure through each one. Seek Rose out if you want spectacular service with a great meal. We will return for the prime rib on our next fishing trip to the area. Now a two star review for the sleeping arrangements. **_ _ _ The hotel portion is part of the Tillman Inn and cannot be reviewed separately because the website for the separate Fair Haven Inn is the website for Tillman's. The hotel portion of Tillman's Village Inn is a drastic difference from what we experienced in the restaurant. It is called Fair Haven Inn and is a quaint Victorian era house from the outside split into four rooms but the inside is run down and in need of major renovation. The smell of your grandmother's house is what hits you first. Mothballs are not my favorite choice as an air freshener. The carpet is dirty and the color schemes are very strange. Nothing takes you back to the Victorian era like sea blue walls and teal trim. The beds and mattresses were old but ok for one night. By the 2nd night, my back could not wait to get out of there. The bathroom sink had about a 2-3 inch gap where it had pulled away from the wall. The TV in each room is, I think a 13 inch screen. They advertise premium cable but ESPN was not included and it doesn't really matter if you can't see the screen anyway. The only saving grace is that the rooms were about $80 per night in the off season. My recommendation is visit the restaurant and enjoy a great meal but stay far away from the Fair Haven Inn side unless you hear of a major renovation.

Friendly service. Sub bread was soggy and fell apart. It was the philly steak hoagie bread that fell apart.

We went for the Thanksgiving dinner and everything tasted home cooked and delicious. The dessert table was also fabulous.

Great place. I can see why they have been around so long. Owner even greets each table.

Mash potatoes were terrible. They had no flavor kind of like they were made with half the water or milk. We have been coming here for years and will continue to come but I won't get the mashed potatoes again. Please try to upgrade how they are made. The rest of the meal was great along with everyone else's meals.

The salad and bread were pretty good. But our dinners left a lot to be desired.

The meal was superb. The prime rib melted in my mouth. The best I've had in a long time. Service was prompt and excellent. Dont forget the pecan pie to top off fantastic meal.

I was searching for the biggest and best prime rib and found ourselves an hour away from home! Well worth the drive! Prices are great and food is delicious!Don't forget to ASK for the special of the day as your waitress will not voluntarily offer you that information. My husband really enjoyed the flights of wine for $8.95 and there are plenty of desserts to choose from.Three things I didn't like is that they sat everyone close to each other, so there was no privacy, even though the restraunt had plenty of open tables all over. Also, there was no dinner music on, which made being so close that much more uncomfortable.Lastly, the woman who took my reservation was way too eager to end our phone call. I didn't even have time to ask a question or tell her we were celebrating my husband's Birthday. ?
