So sad we usto visit twice a month 😢 today the food was underseasoned plain and priced more like buffalo than a small town. We were served sour hashbrowns and just all together unsatisfying food. The service wasnt great ether didnt ask how our food was, Didnt offer a highchair for our two year old, and ended up paying 52 for two people and a baby to leave hungry. Dont even get me started on the building. Plants growing in the gutters, floor tiles cracked and uneven, crack in the dining room ceiling, and baseboard heaters falling apart. Really sad for what usto be a great diner.

Breakfast of eggs, hash browns and sausage was exactly that however it was those brown and serve sausages and those Walmart hash browns square things.
My wife's pancakes were those ones you'd get at a hotel free breakfast. Where you open up the silver tray and steam comes out and there's a bunch of pancakes in there and you try them knowing they taste awful but you think maybe they aren't that bad then you eat one and it's the driest chewiest pancake you ever tasted except it's the same as every other hotel pancake on earth and you knew it'd taste like that.

It is clear that I am in disagreement with most of the other reviewers. We have stayed away from this place for over a decade. In 2020, we retired to Alden. There are not many restaurants that we enjoy here so we thought we would try it again. This time we did not get sick and the food tasted okay. However, the red carpet that greets customers as you walk into the dining area is black, asphalt black. The server was a thin male whose shorts were in focus since we were seated. They were torn, black shorts with orange stains around the zipper and other off-putting stains spattered over his shorts. The place had this grungy feel to it. NEEDS WORK!

Our party of 10 arrive at WAK and asked if they could handle 10 people. They said yes. There was 1 cook and 1 waiter. I thought there would be a long wait, there wasn’t.Everything came out in a timely manner and was excellent. It was unbelievable and everyone was so pleased. Thank you!

West Alden Kitchen is such a great place to eat. Gail is awesome and the food is always perfect. I've gone here for years and it's always so nice. The food is very reasonably priced worth every penny. Don't pass them by. They're well worth the visit. You won't be disappointed.

Its hard to get attention here if youre not a local. food is typically what you would you get at a diner, filling and good. i just hate the political signs in the diner- pro this, anti that. i find this unappealing.
