The food was bland. I ordered the Newport combination. The menu said king crab, the consistency and taste were more alike canned crab. The scampi sauce lacked garlic or any seasoning for that matter.
The food here is fantastic, and the service is even better! Six of us had amazing dinners. 2 had filets mignon, 2 had NY strip, 1 had a ribeye, and 1 had chicken della casa. All the dinners were delicious. We had a couple appetizers (hot peppers & prime rib rolls) and French onion soup - all delicious. Grace, our server, was attentive throughout and very friendly. We came here on vacation with family and had never heard anything about Cavallarios before. It was a great decision! We had 6 in our party, we made a reservation and got seated within a few minutes of arrival. The outside patio looked beautiful and cozy, but being slightly off season (September), we sat inside. The decor inside isnt anything special and it is a little cramped, but not so bad that you are elbowing the next table.
