The food is tasty but the portions were small for the price.

The food was delicious and the service was great. I had the haddock tacos and the lobster poutine fries. If you sit outside watch for the red bugs in June.

Had a wonderful time here. My partner had the lobster risotto, I had a lobster roll. The lobster was clearly fresh and it was all delicious. Wrapped everything up with their creme brulee. Definitely recommend!

Back from the Uncle Sam boat tours and we were kinda hungry was passed our lunch time and we didn’t want to eat fast food by the island. So we waited til we get back.
Didn’t had the chance to see the reviews about this place so we saw the menu outside and decide to give it a try.
We planned to have quick small food because yesterday was my birthday and wanted to have nice dinner somewhere else.
So our server was Dalton (based from our receipt) she was the sweetest.
We ordered lobster bisque and Cuba island panini.
Lobster bisque for me was not good, from the looks of it and the taste was like more vegetables bisque.
Cuba island panini was not bad. They toasted the bread little too much, when I bite the sandwich the bread is kinda hard to bite and most of the meats cheese and pickle came out from the bread and messy.

We ate inside with one other couple, 20 minutes to get water. We ordered haddock sandwiches times 2.. one with fries and one with chips. Also broiled scallops and a burger with chips and Lobster poutine. 10 minutes for the poutine to be shared between the 4 of us. The poutine had fried potatoes not fries with no pieces of lobster to be seen with cheese curd. I would never call that poutine. Waited again for our meal all together 45 minutes. The burger was ordered rare to pink and it was well done all the way thru, the haddock sandwich was ok but we ordered that with fries which came out to be fried potatoes or home fries.wr also ordered the scallops which were very small that kooked loke bay scallops. All for 100 dollars. Worst meal ever never to return. We will never go there again and would not recommend this restaurant if you have never been there

$65 for 2 entrees, a large salad/appetizer to share with drinks. Not bad. Food was good with reasonable portions (not ridiculous-sized). Good beer selection. Excellent atmosphere either inside and outside.

Would be nice to have a vegetarian protein option, but hey, it's Alex Bay. Fish tacos were good - not over-the-top blackened cajun style. Caprese salad was fresh and unexpected in a good way. Mushroom risotto was good according to my dining companion.

Recommended as an alternative to the burger and pizza joints and diners in town.

Arrived at 7:45. Sat inside. No one came to our table for 15 min. Guest at the bar was so loud and obnoxious yelling and talking so loud, by 8:03 we were about to walk out but waitress finally came with water. Ordered soup, bread, and duck nachos. Food came 40 min later. Soup was not hot, and had a thick skin on it. Sent it back. Bread was the best thing but cost $6. Duck nachos had time amount of duck, no crispy skin... Blah. I wouldn't recommend. There are plenty of other places to eat. The dockside pub has way better service and food.

Waitress was friendly but untrained and didn't know the menu, forgot our salad and when she brought the food it was warm not hot, silverware was not the cleanest and didn't bring a steak knife with the steak. I'd be surprised if the locals eat there. We were at other places over the weekend that had alot more to offer.

From the drinks and appetizers to the meal and atmosphere, this little family owned red is doing everything right. So very satisfied with my experience here. Might have just become my husband and my’s new favorite local spot.

We recently dined here for my husband’s birthday, and while the ambiance was inviting and the staff friendly, our experience was overshadowed by an excessively long wait for our food. We waited over 40 minutes; which had us considering leaving early due to prior commitments. We were a very small party of two with a baby. So there shouldn’t have been a dramatic wait time.

When we were seated there were two other tables occupied. Awhile after more guests arrived and to our surprise they all got their food sooner than us.

When our food finally arrived, it was underwhelming. My husband’s dish featured cold mushrooms and was excessively salty and fatty. My salmon was overcooked and wrapped in bacon, which I hadn’t expected. Thankfully, I have no allergies, but the lack of clarity could have been problematic. The dish also lacked pecans, as I could barely taste them.

On a positive note, the dining room was clean, and one staff member was diligent about clearing and resetting tables, which I appreciated.

The service itself was decent; the staff was nice and welcoming, but there was a noticeable lack of urgency regarding our wait time. Despite the delay, no one checked in to inform us of the delay or offer an explanation. Just once saying “sorry it’s taking so long”. This left us feeling overlooked, which detracted from the overall experience.

Kid-friendliness: Staff was friendly towards our son. They also provided a highchair.

An interesting experience to say the least. Ordered a glass of Prosecco and after taking two sips a wasp flew into it. Told the server about it and she said yes that happens when you sit outside. I would’ve expected her to just replace it but didn’t offer. Oh well. In the end still charged me for a drink I barely drank. Was also very disappointed with the food. Lobster bisque had no lobster in it. And was kind a weird dark color. The guacamole also looked old but then at the same time had unripe chunks of avocado in it. And got a very well done burger when we ordered a medium. Would not recommend coming here and definitely won’t be back.

My wife and I had one of the best meals that you could eat in Alexandria Bay! All of the staff had awesome personalities, and exceeded our expectations! Our seafood and steak was cooked to absolute perfection! The flavors were out of this world!!! There is a chance that you have to wait a bit longer, but that wait is well more than worth it!!! Such and awesome experience, and the cherry on top of our experience in the 1000 islands!!!

Would love to tell you about our food & service but there was NONE. We waited 10 minutes without even seeing a server. Looked around at about 6 other tables. No one had food & only a couple had drinks. You don't deserve our money. Bye.
