First, the hostess was miserable. Second, the server was exhausted. He actually started to tell us what was not on the menu then finally gave up and said order something and he will tell us if it is available. End of season supply did not meet demand. Should have indicated that on menu outside. Hostess also could've set the expectation on what was going on. The staff looked lost. A 3 star was given on food because the guests enjoyed their turkey club sandwiches. My dog and fries, not so much. I mean, not even lemons and limes for drinks! There are grocery stores there.

Their bartender, I think his name was Jared, was fantastic! Super friendly! We ate in the bar because 1 member of our party wanted to watch the Mets game. He put the game on, took our food and drink orders, and served us graciously! He also answered our questions about things to do in the area. A great asset to your establishment! Waitress who took our order (Eve P) knew our order had been messed up, but charged me for food I did not receive. I ordered 3 orders of chicken tenders one substituted with mashed potatoes instead of french fries, when I was brought my food, I received a text from my friend asking for a side of gravy for the mashed potatoes, when I inquired about the side Eve P told me “yeah they messed up the order and all got fries” I did not even know they messed up the order until she confessed. She knowingly was going to let me leave without all of the food I paid extra for. I will never recommend a restaurant that has employees who deceive customers. poor service, food was cold, moody and rude staff. Five thumbs down for Riley’s by the River ?????

Window veiw of the water! This is a must for anyone visiting the area! We are from Indiana visiting our nephew who is stationed at Fort Drum! Thank you for the hospitality and great food!

Stopped in for dinner after a boat tour, since it was right near the water. The place was really loud and crowded when we first walked in, as that is where the bar is. We were seated in a booth in a large room with big windows. My mom ordered a drink and without warning they gave her a small bucket. I got an old fashioned in a normal glass. Mine was very strong. We both ordered crab cakes (which were not very good) and chowder. Our friend ordered a salad with cup of chowder and they charged her more for the same amount of soup, since she had no entree. I would not come here again for the food, as it wasn't cheap or really tasty.

Horrible waitress! Took our order ( appetizer, my husband's meal and my meal along with 2 over priced glasses of wine.) The appetizer came and my husband's meal. Mine never came. Our waitress was no where to be found. Never came back to see if everything was OK or for another over priced drink. I flagged her down and told her my meal was never delivered. She said she would check with the kitchen. I watched her deliver bills, take three orders from customers and never go back to the kitchen. After another 20 minutes I called her over and said bring us our check for what we received. I am leaving. She asked if I wanted my food. At this point, no. I told her it is typical of today's society- no one does their job. She told me " well I took the salad off". Really? I said, you think I am paying for food I didn't get? My entire club of 18 people were in this restaurant. We were in separate seats. Horrible service.

DON'T order the fish fry unless you want a "baked" or as they say, a breaded deep fried fish fry. I assumed i was getting a beer battered fry and when approached to the manager, she was playing games when she knew what I meant. Food at best was mediocre. Sandwiches were dry and tasteless and expensive! ($80 for 2 apps, a drink and sandwich with add ons). Beware for an uncharge for cheese and fries!!! Calamari was all breaded banana peppers with little to NO actual calamari. The overall biggest disappointment was the managers attitude and as quoted by our server, "she isn't used to talking to customers and stays in the back." Nooo thanks. Try the nice Italian restaurant up the road.
