Wanted to have breakfast here as the views are beautiful. Took 10 minutes to get seated, there was no line. Then we sat at the table while various staff walked pat us and never acknowledged us. Needless to say we walked out

We chose Windows on the Bay, because it was highly rated and on the water. We were celebrating our 50th Anniversary with our son and his wife. We were able to sit on the deck, look out at the water and the boaters, and enjoyed a fantastic meal with great service. We did not need a reservation. Because other restaurants where we planned to eat on Sunday night were closed, we ate at Windows again and had the same enjoyable meal and service. Both waitresses were very efficient and personable. The food was great. As we are from Long Island, NY, we were used to paying a lot more for that kind of great meal.

I have stayed at RiversEdge Resort countless times. This is the first time we decided to have breakfast. It was Memorial Day weekend but slow due to inclement weather. We arrived shortly before 9am and had no wait for table. Although there were only half a dozen other tables of diners service was a slow crawl. It was a lovely view so I just drank in the ambiance of the Bay and watched the tour boats docking and departing. Ham and cheese omelettes light and fluffy with more than enough toast with a wide selection of jellies. Home fries on the side were a little bland but easily rectified with salt and pepper. The orange juice was served un chilled in a 6 oz glass for $4. It was more than enough food for two with leftovers to go. $41 though with no coffee or refills on the OJ. Nice experience but will probably do breakfast at diners in town next visit.

We went to Windows on the Bay for the first time last year (2023); we had stayed for our wedding night and decided to have breakfast there the next morning. The menu had lots of yummy options, my husband ended up getting the strawberry stuffed french toast, I don't remember what I got but I remember liking it. We came back like a week later just to get the french toast (I've never liked french toast but this was worth it). Now this morning, a little over a year later, we're trying to figure out where we would like to go for breakfast and my husband brings up this place. Naturally I'm very excited because this place holds such a fond memory for us. We come in and get seated and are handed a very limited menu and to my immense disappointment: no stuffed french toast... So I settle for the buffet. The eggs were so old the tops had dried out and turned a dark yellow and the bottom was stuck to the chafing dish. The bacon was floppy and rubbery (I know some people like it this way but most people like crispy bacon). The next dish had the potatoes (home fries). They were an odd texture, they were hard and weirdly chewy. I am fully convinced they were left over from pervious days and simply reheated. Lastly was the waffles, and the few that remained when I got there were either extremely hard or soggy from the condensation. I couldn't eat it so I paid extra to order a meal off the menu and got the ham and cheese omelet, which was fine, but it came with home fries. I was hopeful they'd be better fresh, but lo and behold they were the same left over potatoes. I also ordered a side of sausage links which were so tough they were inedible. The best thing I ate this morning was the toast. Needless to say, we won't be returning.
Part of me wishes we had never returned so the fondness we had for this place had never been tainted.

It was unfortunate that we decided to go there on the fourth of July. Food was terrible. We hardly ate the food we ordered. The hamburger was so plain and red currey was too salty and griesy.. Vegetables wee under cooked and it appears that the currey powder was mixed in oil without any coconut milk or other seasoning. Terrible.. a total waste of money.

Awesome restaurant, Food was very good although the Haddock had entirely too much thyme on it. Service was good although in my opinion the bread should have been served before the soups came out. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, Beautiful view of Boldt Castle as well at sunset.

My daughter ,son and myself had dinner on the 26th of August.I was very disappointed with my Haddock, the thyme was out of a jar and not fresh. I couldn't eat it as the taste was horrible. Did not get bread until after our appetizers and soup. I would not have minded if the restaurant was full but there was only 6 tables dining when we were there. It was my birthday and honestly I have ha better food. One is paying for the view not the food.
