I have to say, I've never had a great experience at a hotel restaurant until tonight. The waitress was super friendly and patient. She checked-in at exactly the right times. The food was spectacular and the restaurant was quiet and lovely. The chicken wings came with a delicious blue cheese sauce that I could eat on everything! We did not leave hungry after the surf-and-turf, that's for sure. The prime rib was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp had an exceptional Cajun seasoning. What a wonderful night, and what a shame I can only visit once per year!!

Great location. Very pretty setting. We were very surprised to find no crowd. All persons working there were very attentive. Food and drinks were good. Most of our party of six had the haddock special. No complaints. Got what we paid for. There were many other “hi end” stuff on their menu. I got what I wanted and it was good food. Service And ambiance was My Highlight.

I've referred some friends and strangers staying in the area to them. My friend's love the service and the smoked salmon.. it's a quiet spot during a very busy salmon season you can take your family and relax.. 5 stars isn't enough for this place....

After a long work week, the Tailwater was a wonderful way to start the weekend. The drinks were spectacular, food was delicious, and our server was top notch! Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Service was a little slow. 5-10 mins before waitress's came to the table, 5-10 mins from the time we ordered drinks til we got them. Maybe it's meant to be slow and relaxed but seemed a bit long. Good food though.

We love eating at Tailwater - good food, interesting specials and a very friendly, relaxing environment. Love the history and the location as well. Kimberly, our server, was down to earth and very professional.
Rolls and salads were great. My husband had the chopped salad before his entree and he loved it. He had the broiled haddock and was very pleased. I had the pasta and it was mushy like it had been precooked and ordered the shrimp with it. The shrimp were very salty like they were old and trying to cover it up. The service was great and we spent the night.
Was very pleased with the overall experience. It was for a special anniversary, and it did not disappoint. All was wonderful, food, service, atmosphere. Just great. 5 in our party. Had scallops to filet mignon. Awesome. Desserts great! Highly recommend.

Always a great meal at Tailwater- Filet was cooked to perfection- Scallops were great - Also had the Poutine which I highly recommend. Not enough room for dessert but I really would have like to have tried the Carrot cake.

I booked Tailwater for lunch before the Eclipse. They were very accommodating, allowing us to add an extra person to our reservation, even though the restaurant was very busy. Our server, Tayla (sp?), was a superstar. Very friendly, funny, and great service. Menu choices were a bit limited, but the food was excellent. The ambiance was fun. Very lucky fund, only wished we lived closer, so we could make it a regular stop.

This is a great place to eat and have a nice drink while staying at the Tailwater Lodge or anywhere else in the area. The staff are probably the nicest people I've met in a long time. I would definitely recommend.
