We went for the Sunday Brunch. We haven’t been in a while and remember how good our experience was that we thought we would go back. First negative , was we had reservations for four people at 1:00pm and we were not acknowledged or seated for 20 minutes or more. Party of five behind us did not have reservations and were seated at same time. The next negative was first entree table we walked by was 3/4 empty. We got seated and started to go through buffet line and all entrees were almost empty or completely empty. We gave them the benefit of doubt they were refilling , waited a bit and then went back & still same scenario . We did this three times & they even removed some of the options. So you would want to go for breakfast, because it definitely wasn’t set up for brunch 11-3pm. Felt sorry for people coming after us. For what we ended up getting for our money, we could have gone else where for a lot less. And the waitress service wasn’t great. When she came for empty dishes, not once did she ask if we wanted drink refills, etc. A VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER

Went for the St. Patrick’s buffet. Everything was amazing. And of course Bill and Stephanie as always were warm and welcoming. Waitress was very sweet and nice.

We have gone here off and on for the last 20 years and we have never had a bad meal. When we used to live in West Almond we would go a lot more then we do now but we went to the Sunday Brunch recently. They do not disappoint the Angelica Hotel still has the best brunch. The food was delicious with so much to choose from. We highly recommend the Angelica Hotel for a great meal and service!!!!!

They had a lot of choices. It is a brunch so we went for breakfast and stayed for lunch. I will definitely be going back.

I have been dining at the Angelica Hotel for thirty years and have enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the service. That is, up until my last four visits. My waitress has been Cheryl and she has been a large reason for my bad experiences.

When I, have problems with my order I bring these issues to Cheryl’s attention and she gives a half-hearted apology but never offers to replace the problem side or reduce the price of the meal. The last meal I had there the mash potatoes were so runny I could have used a straw. Still, no offer to replace the side, only a half hearted apology. Also, I often have to wait until the check comes to inform the waitress of any problems. Once I get my meal, Cheryl disappears until it’s time for the check. It would be nice for her to check if everything is alright. This lack of service is not what I have become used to at the Angelica Hotel.

I work hard and enjoy a relaxing meal to unwind. These bad experiences have made me rethink my restaurant choices. Whether this is one waitress or a restaurant wide change, I don’t know but I thought you should know. After 30 years, these bad experiences have lost you a customer.

First time here happened to be Sunday brunch. I walked in and thought, "wow!" The food was very good. Great brunch selection. Service was super friendly. There's even a play area for little ones.
We come by this area on a regular basis, so we will be back!

Kid-friendliness: Play area to die for!

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp, but this is an old building and the floors are uneven.

This experience is one of those experiences where the potential does not meet expectations. The restaurant is located in a pretty little town that looked like it has been plucked straight out of a painting. It looked good inside and looked busy. The owner came and greeted us and was so friendly. She was so proud of her heritage and had a great introduction with us. We had high expectations. The server, on the other hand, had this unpleasant tone. She did not say anything wrong, but the tone said it all. It was a large menu and we took our time to decide what to eat. We asked several questions, and all our questions were answered. Yet the discomfort was palpable. Most of the entries came with soup and salad bar. People scuttled away from us when my wife and daughter went to get soup. You could hear snide remarks. Clearly, someone from a different color was not being welcomed in the town. We looked past it. The food taste was average. Spaghetti was overseasoned with oregeno and had this bitter after taste. Portion sizes were generous. The soups was not the best, but decent. Salad bar was good and there were multiple dressings to choose from. We asked for some lemon to put on the fish we ordered and were served badly cut peices only fit for a lemon water dispenser. We finished our meal, and made our way out as fast as we could. I urge the owner to have a talk with her server.

I wished all restaurants are like this. Very home friendly environment. Staff are wonderful. $18.00 all u can eat brunch and made from scratch then cook it at the side table at the bar is fabulous. I suggest getting reservations especially if your party is greater than 4 people.

The owner/ hostess was so warm that we thought place will live up to it's reviews. All the servers in the restaurant were to put mildly rude, to be accurate were racist I wish they were not. I spoke to a few while asking for things around the salad bar. Our server Sheryl was a class apart in rudeness. She was almost yelling at times and I thought I was the only one who was seeing it. But my family confirmed the same that she was being very unnecessarily rude. The owner/ hostess has employed these people. She must know their behavior. I would like to talk about the food too. It was under seasoned. Or over seasoned. My sons spaghetti and sauce was bitter, it had too much oregano. I ordered the fried fish and when I asked for more lemons I felt they probably were on the floor before they were served as they were dirty. I lost all appetite after that. My side of Alfredo pasto had curdled sauce. My other child's broiled fish was the only thing that we all as a family thought was good on menu. My husband's Florentine looked good but did not taste as well. Over all I would give it a miss if you can keep your hunger on back bench for fee miles. The deserts looked great but by the time we could come to desert. I just wanted us all to be out of the negative energy that people in that place spewed on us.
