The staff is a bunch of fun people and the owner is an exceptional person!

My family dined here over the summer. The atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic. The server was terrible, though, leaving a tainted experience. We are typically great tippers and appreciate a service based job, but she rolled her eyes when my teenagers asked for another drink, she was irritated when we asked for details about a menu item, then she took my dad's unfinished half sandwich while cleaning off the table and threw it out. We thought she took it to box it up but never brought it back, and when asked where it was, she said she trashed it. Chick needs to grow up or get out of the customer service business. Other than that, we'd return if she weren't there!

Ok place to stop have a drink and get some wings. Good views of the lake. Usually short handed during the day, so service is slow. Not the servers fault though. Usually only get the wings, have not tried anything else off the menu.

Castaways is a very friendly, welcoming place. The bartenders are always friendly and their service is fantastic.

This is one of only a few places in town where you can get a decent bite to eat after 9 if you're looking for something other than pizza. Their wings are outstanding, as well as their burgers.

Drink.prices are affordable, too.

Parking: There are a few business (another bar and another restaurant) that share a large dirt and gravel parking lot.

Kid-friendliness: Since this place is right next to a public beach / park (with a shower) it's kid friendly up on the patio for lunch and dinner. Late night it becomes more.of an.adults only place.

Worst band ever playing today for music festival... stay away!!

Bartender was terrible after sitting for 25 min never was served she keep walking by us I went to the bar twice to get a drink she would not look at me will never go back

I was super surprised at this venue. It will be a staple for my to-go-to dinner and/ or cocktail spot! Ask for Joe, he’s got a great personality and splits time as a waiter and chef do he knows how to move your food along if needed. Atmosphere is great , food is way better than other water front restaurants around here, and Joe’s service was superior. It was nice to meet Joe tonight, we are lucky to get him as our waiter but will definitely ask for him again. I will say I’m a tough food critic and I am thankful that I am pleasantly surprised here. Good job staff at Castaways.

Always a fun time and great bartenders!

Went there for the 4th of July. There were 4 of us. We sat at a picnic bench outside. The bartender was super friendly and accommodating. Great place to go to hear music on the beach. ?

Great food, terrible service Server needs customer service training!!

Last night at Castaways, a deeply disturbing incident occurred. An off-duty employee attacked a young woman, and instead of addressing the situation, the bouncer antagonized the victim and her family. No one was able to talk to the owner. When asked to speak to him the staff refused to notify him of the incident at that time.

Despite the seriousness of the incident, the staff did nothing to intervene or address the issue. The police were called and talked to the victim.

The off-duty employee's behavior was aggressive and completely unprovoked. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they showed no concern and did not take any steps to ensure the safety of their patrons.

This incident has made me question the safety and management of Castaways. I hope the owners take serious measures to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure a safe environment for all customers.

Employees don’t care about safety of the patrons. They don’t care if one of their employees fights a patron and beats them up. Not one employee tried to stop it. Do not go there! Unsafe!

Witnessed an employee attack a patron at the bar last night. Bartenders and bouncers did not intervene until after the altercation had been broken up by bystanders. Said bartenders and bouncers proceeded to kick out all people involved, talking trash to them as they left. When police showed up owner refused to talk to them. I have never been to a more unprofessionally run establishment in my life. Please steer clear of castaways brawl bar for your own safety, I sure will be!
