Went to the Ardsley Diner for the first time. Im a diner expert living my whole life on Long Island. Some great salad options along with a full menu plus a sunday brunch menu. I had the Ardsley salad which was unique and really good. Among our group.of 10 some had various wraps and paninis, grilled cheese, grilled chicken sandwich and pancakes. All really good. Quick service. Place is clean but small for a diner. I would go back if im in the area.

Went to have lunch there today with my elderly Mom. We ordered a hamburger and eggplant type wrap. I took a bite of the eggplant wrap and could not. The eggplant was completely not chewable. I pulled out that piece and tried again but the other piece of eggplant was the same. I make my own eggplant and it should never be like that. The person in the next table commented on the sandwich too. She had I should return it but I didn't want to as my Mom would not have eaten then. So I pulled the eggplant out and all the stale hard edged of the wrap (yes the wrap was old too) and just eat the very little thin mozzarella and peppers that was left. No one ever came over to the table see everything was ok. Only after my mom finished eating, the waitress finally came over. She went to quickly clear plate and I told wait, look at this, it is inedible. You cannot even bite through the eggplant, which I demonstrated that I could not even tear it with my hands. I told her I will pay for it but the kitchen should know. She rolled her eyes and just took the plate away making me feel like I did something wrong. Then after several minutes, she dropped the check without any word. The sandwich was removed which I then told them to put back on the bill. I paid for, I never asked for it to be removed nor did I ask for the attitude. They made me feel like I was a thief and at fault. For a $17 sandwich, it should be tripled checked that it is edible. I will never go back because of the terrible non-service and attitude. The diner which is normally really busy was not this day. I left a tip but honestly wish I hadn't.

Good food but the staff didn't clear dirty plates away so they kept piling up on the table.

Historically, every diner I go to goes through my annoying litmus test; ordering Eggs Benedict. In my mind, if the combination of eggs, ham, breakfast muffin, topped with hollandaise and a side of home fries is good then they earn my stamp of approval and will entice me to come back to try other items on the menu in the future. In the decade+ I’ve lived in Westchester I’ve never had the pleasure of stopping in this hidden gem of a diner but today I can easily say that I am coming back for more! The service was great, the coffee was hot, they had almond milk for the Mrs. And the portion was right for the price. Oh and they had two kinds of hot sauces to choose from (win!).Highly recommended.

Decided to check this diner out while getting my car serviced down the street. Ordered the monte cristo and it had 2lbs of dried meat, thick egg soggy French toast that was never pressed down to panini style. My order was supposed to come with coleslaw and a pickle and apparently as a 18 dollar sandwich I also get no fries. So I asked the waiter hey isn't this supposed to come with it? He goes do u want it? Didn't think you would want it? What?! It says it on the menu that it comes with it. Either own up if you forgot it or just say I'm sorry it will be right out n bring it out. He than sees me struggling to eat the sandwich where I took the French toast bread off of the sandwich and was eating the cold cuts separately while trying to dip it in mayo to give it some sort of moisture and flavor. I moved my French toast to a separate plate and the only thing I had to pour on top of it was GMO high fructose corn syrup based formally known as aunt Jemima. When you're in an expensive town with a higher tax bracket and you're charging $18 for a sandwich and no fries or expensive pancakes and French toast you should be giving maple syrup. it was completely un-edible. The bread was completely soggy was eggy. It had no flavor, and I was just disgusted. At that point I pushed my food away. The Busser came over and I let them know that sorry I tried my best to eat the food I really did not enjoy it. There was a huge amount of food on my plate and all the Busser could say was I'm not your server but I'll tell the guy when he comes back. I see him pull the guy and they're laughing about it and then nobody comes over to my table. The server is ignoring me the entire time And then drops off the check and not even a manager comes over to ask me what happened after I saw the server explain the situation to him. Instead he can stand there in front of everyone and touch his hair constantly, play on his phone and get a back massage from a female worker in front of everyone but ignoring me was a priority. I am a former chef/restaurant manager, and currently a food and beverage manager of a big country club. You will never see me in here again.

Just ok. Busy, noisy and had a long wait to order. Finally got our food, luke warm and small portions. Probably won't go back. Good diners are hard to find now. It used to be a staple of NY but now..... not so much.

DESMONT

a typical American eatery. Benedict ordered an egg. Surprisingly, I make it tastier at home, although this is a restaurant and everything should be top notch here. It's unclear why American restaurants look so bad. Has no one traveled to Europe and seen how local restaurants are equipped there? when will they learn to make pleasant places where they can comfortably sit?Parking: Free parking lot!

I had the meatloaf. As a meatloaf connoisseur I can tell you this was one of the worst I’ve had. Convenient location friendly staff but unfortunately no reason for me to go back w so many great diners in this area to try better meatloaf
