The dining experience at this charming Ardsley establishment is outstanding. The owners Scott and Heather Fratangelo have continued to hone their talents in fine food dining into their lovely L'inizio. We travel from Manhattan when we can to grab a meal there. The quality of the food rivals well known and touted restaurants in NYC. Their menu changes for the seasons and usually another creation of theirs is added to their already amazing menu.

L'inizio continues to deliver. Chef has a way with chicken. My favorite local. Love the cozy bar (I sit at the far corner)

Food was Amazing ! Service was good as well . Everything was fresh from the baked clams to the arugula salad. The chicken Parmigiana was cooked very nicely with a fresh marinara sauce. The tables are a bit close together due to the restaurant being long and narrow - not much room and spacing is a challenge. I would definitely recommend trying this hidden gem!

They were so accommodating. My husband has trouble hearing with surrounding noise, actually he then he is unable to hear at all. They as usual were extremely busy, but still gave us a larger table meant for 4 (we were 2) to accommodate us. The food and service is always stellar.

L'Inizio is the perfect homestyle Italian restaurant. The menu is very understated and simple-sounding, but everything I have ever ordered has exceeded expectations. Ingredients are treated with thoughtfulness and care. Drinks are remarkable. Service is attentive and kind. Our favorite restaurant in Ardsley!

This is a gem in Ardsley, NY. Great food, good cocktails. I think they can create a much better ambiance if they manage their lighting. It was too bright for a restaurant that can become fine dining. Also there seemed to be a disconnect between the servers.

The food from the appetizer( Grilled Octopus) to our pasta entrees was excellent. The noise level was loud and piped in music, which was really not appropriate in a nice restaurant. Service was good. However, they get a little bit of a red mark for not bringing bread, butter, and salt and pepper without having to ask for it. Overall, it was a decent experience, and I would consider going back in the future.

Not our first time here - often our go-to spot for birthdays and anniversaries. This time we tried some different things and were really pleased. The chef can really cook- highly creative and satisfying dishes. Glad we don't live too far away.

This restaurant is usually superb. This evening it was generally very good. I had the market steak which was delicious, tender and juicy. But why was it on a bed of cold vegetables? Maybe it was supposed to be? But overall, still very good.

The food was very good. But the prices were a bit steep for a single glass of wine and especially dessert. I would not pay $16 for ice cream! Whereas we knew the owner to have been a pastry chef at prestigious restaurants in NYC, dessert was wa expensive. Be careful were they seat you. We were a couple and not regulars, so they wanted to put us opposite the kitchen entry or by a busy exit door at the smallest tables when the place had plenty of open tables and other couples were more comfortably seated. It was already late in the Evening, so they were not going to get a big rush. We got a more comfortable table after the first 2.

Four of us went to take advantage of their $18 weekday pasta special. We all ordered different meals and all 4 of them were exceptional. They cook their pasta to perfection and they were so flavorful. L'inzio is one of my favorite Westchester restaurants for good reason.

We have been dining here for almost a decade. The food keeps evolving and improving. Imaginative and delicious pasta combinations. Fresh fish with creative accompaniments. Delicious chicken and pork offerings as well as an expertly put together butternut squash parmigiana which woukd delight anny vegetarian. Creativity is anlso evident in the salads annd the side dishes offered. And oh those Heather Frantangelo desserts. Her latest, an exquisite lemon pudding “cake” with blueberry coulis and vanilla ice cream, was just sensational and perfect summertime fare. Service is, and always has been, top notch with servers Javier and José leading the pack. They are delightful, efficient gentlemen who are super familiar with every dish on the menu and are doing a superb job. David, maitre d', bartender, sommelier, is amiable, knowledgeable and, like the servers, a gem of a person. Scott Fratangelo and his team, which includes Mike and Franklin, conjure up some of the best Italian food in the county. Give this place a try.
