Very expensive for pasta. But good. Wine list excellent. We felt the waiter could have been more attentive. Awkward yelling across the room for the waiter. Desert was terrific. Very pricy for what we ordered. .
Overall the food was mediocre and not worth the price. $125 for 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. Stuffed clams were topped with a very gamey bacon, chicken parm was stringy and overcooked and the special pasta with crab had minimal crab meat included.
The dining experience was perfect. The hardest thing was figuring out what we liked the best. The asparagus salad was an impeccable blend of flavors, perfectly complementing one another. We suspected and confirmed that the smoked ricotta with unfortunately done on the premises and therefore we couldn't purchase it. The app size pastas were more than enough and each one better than the other. Never thought I could put the word carbonara and light in the same sentence. We don't usually get dessert, but because it was a birthday or we got the special carrot cake, again simple, perfection, light and moist paired with a not too sweet caramel sauce, and vanilla gelato.
Excellent food. Dishes are creative without being over the top. More traditional Italian options are also available. Service is attentive and friendly, not pretentious. Atmosphere and decor are a bit dated but overall a very good dining experience.
10 years ago they lost our ticket in the kitchen, waited over an hour and charged fully despite needing to take food as “tp go”. This week, a mistake was made by the server when putting in our ticket and we were served 2 of the same pastas. To correct the mistake, the kitchen remade the wrong order and kept the other warm which was lovely but no offer to fill in the very long gap with anything even after I mentioned our past experience. Others love it but I am bidding addio to L'Inzio.
Ordered 2 appetizers— one was the ricotta with acasia honey and the other was the cauliflower. The ricotta bread came burnt and we asked for a new set, they ended up just giving us regular bread not toasted. They gave us the wrong appetizer (Brussels sprouts) instead of the cauliflower. This wasn't corrected. Also not completely the restaurant's fault, but when we arrived we asked the host if we could park out front because we noticed it was 15 minute parking. He told us it's 15 minute parking but it was 6:47pm at the time so he said we'll be good after 7pm to park there unrestricted. We came back to a parking ticket. We last came in November for mine and my mother's birthday and really enjoyed our meal. This time we came back for my father's birthday and we were pretty disappointed this time.
Classic restaurant and one of the best in our area. We like to spend our anniversary here and often squeeze in Valentine's or a special dinner. We entertained our out-of-town guests, who were quite impressed with the food and service!
Very fine preparation of rigatoni carbonara, traditional and with no cream. Very fine rendition of chicken scarpariello with chicken sausage, potatoes, garlic, white wine. Quality of chicken, partially boned with skin on, was excellent. Very attentive and polite service. Enjoyed the rustic atmosphere. Limited menu but expertly delivered. Appreciate that half portions of pasta are offered.
Great Italian food. Waiter could have shown a little more enthusiasm. Definitely will go back.
Food was good but service was slow. Only ordered a main course and it took 30 minutes to arrive. The dining room was max of 25% fill so it's wasn't kitchen backup. And we were never offered rolls which we saw being delivered to other tables. Great reputation but I doubt we'll be going back soon
