Thank you for serving the real Japanese dishes in this area. I was satisfied their service and a tasty lunch box.

Rude staff, completely empty restaurant, and they still kicked us out with two kids. Absolutely unwelcoming — never coming back.

I’ve been a loyal customer here for months and often recommend this place to friends because the food is usually great. Unfortunately, after my most recent visit, I will never return.

I came with two friends and our subtotal was about $140 for three plates. I tipped 25% because I felt bad arriving about an hour before closing. Despite this, the male host hassled me for more tip while I was still at the table. Feeling pressured, I added more to bring it to roughly a 27% tip. He then snatched the bill from my hand and said, “It’s okay,” in a dismissive tone.

This is completely unprofessional and left me shocked. No customer should be solicited for more tip after already leaving a generous one, let alone treated rudely after complying. It’s a shame, because the food has always been good, but I won’t support a business that disrespects loyal customers like this.

We have been coming to Sazan for over 20 years, consistently the best Japanese, possibly my all time favorite restaurant !

It is one of the rare Japanese owned sushi restaurants in the tristate. Sitting in the sushi counter reminded me back home. Highly recommended.

Very traditional. Very high quality fish and dishes. Come here to enjoy the flavors of the fish and ingredients.

This is the place if you want authentic, high quality, Japanese food. The small dishes on the separate menu are really delightful.

Prices reflect food quality. Be prepared to pay for the best all around Japanese food in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

They run it like fine dining, not like a casual sushi bar. So they have strict rules around noise, noisy kids, and cell phones. Don't expect to bring your kid and set him up with an ipad with the volume on. Seems reasonable. No outside food, no exceptions. Seems reasonable.

The servers were polite, no issues in this department.

A real gem of a restaurant.

I went alone and sat at the bar. Spent twice as much as I was expected but got exactly what I wanted. Incredibly fresh and delicious fish, the most authentic Japanese I have ever had. Incredible quality and care into every bite. Learning the whole time about what I should dip in soy sauce. Definitely a unique experience and relaxing atmosphere I had the place to myself on a Wednesday.

Absolutely the best sushi and most authentic Japanese food in all of Westchester. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The quality of the fish is always top-notch, fresh, and flavorful. You can tell the chefs take great pride in their craft, as every dish is presented beautifully and tastes incredible. The service is equally fantastic—attentive, friendly, and always welcoming. Whether you're a sushi lover or just looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit

Wow. I can’t believe this hidden gem.

The most authentic Japanese food I’ve had on the East Coast - this beats out the obnoxious shiny Manhattan Japanese spots that are expensive and less real.

So so excited to have this close by, give them a try - they are clearly a family owned establishment and the food and experience reflects their values regarding quality.

Authentic Japanese cuisine at the highest level of execution. The omakase is an amazing journey through exquisite dishes. The quality of the fish selection is outstanding and the preparations are excellent! Sazan is owner operated and the service is respectful.

This is the most authentic Japanese restaurant in the area, period. Truly fresh fish, homemade tofu, sea eel and a variety of dishes I’ve never seen anywhere in NY. If you come here, let go of your American expectations and embrace real Japanese culture. I’m a mom, but know that it’s common for restaurants in Japan to exclude small children to create a peaceful dining space for others. So, the comments below is cultural ignorance, frankly. If you want to eat with your kids, there are plenty of lower quality options walking distance away.
