The burgers and fries here are great! It's a casual environment - order at the counter and then they bring it to your table which is great for a quick lunch or dinner.

By far one of my favorite restaurants in the area

Have gotten pickup here and takeout twice now. Thought the first issue was a blip (LOL they didn’t put my burger on a bun??). Both times now 1. half or most of the included toppings I checked off (like lettuce, tomato, etc) were missing despite being on the ticket. And 2. Tonight, the burger and the sandwich are wildly overdone. Chicken tastes like nothing (no discernible seasoning) & was like a doorstop it was so hard. Won’t be going back; I’m not sure why it’s so hard to just add super basic burger toppings or not overcook everything to oblivion.

Doesn’t seem to make a difference whether it’s via DoorDash or calling and placing a simple order to pickup. Literally no crazy exceptions or crazy additions. Maybe it’s better dining in but I won’t be returning or ordering again to find out.

Called right away when we saw the chicken sandwich was missing literally everything except pickles and was told they’d refund us. So far, no refund.

EDIT 10/10: Have emailed them directly per their instructions. I have gotten no response and no refund.

I really want to give this place (and the OG Beacon location) a higher rating. Notes below.

1. There’s zero service. Order your own food at the counter, get your flatware and condiments from a stationary area, if you want another drink/beer you go the counter and order yourself. They will deliver your food, but that’s it. No table service. They still expect to be tipped …. #noservicenotip

2. Restaurant can be warm. It may just be unable to keep up with summer heat.

3. They charge current restaurant prices for entrées, but the meals do not include sides like fries, chips, etc. Those are an additional $3 to $5. A $17 burger becomes $20+

My wife and I have dined at the Beacon location and this one many times. Again, the food is great, the staff are friendly, but the business model sucks. They are not the only restaurant doing this model. It’s definitely worth trying though.

I really wanted to like this place, but the food is just too inconsistent. Some days the burgers are juicy and cooked perfectly, other days they come out dry and tough, almost like biting into a jerky patty. It’s frustrating not knowing what kind of meal you’re going to get.

The idea behind the menu is good, and the ingredients seem decent, but the execution just isn’t reliable. For the price, you’d expect a more consistent experience. Unfortunately, it’s not a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a solid meal every time. Overall, kind of a letdown.

The food is always good, but this time they gave me tenders and honestly they were extremely small. For the price I was disappointed, especially because I go often. Also the place smelled like urine. Not just that bathroom but the actual sit down tables. There is no way they can't smell that.

I had a veggie burger on a gluten-free bun and gluten-free fries...it was delicious.

Nice quiet neighborhood, adjacent to Vassar college campus.

Lots of parking.

I had a very simple bánh mì chicken sandwich.

Pickled vegetables were perfect, tasty, crunchy.

The chicken was really hot and incredibly perfectly fried, with an exceptional batter crust.

There was a great selection of beer.
The serving staff were outrageously well informed.

I guess you can expect that next door to Vassar.

I was in the neighborhood for work, and my assignment went from something really simple that I could drag my dog along for to something that was ridiculously over the top.

So I needed to stop and eat and I didn't want to leave the dog in the car.

They were fine with the dog on the terrace.
Here I will review my do: He was a very good boy.

There's a lot of seating, inside and outside.

It would have been a great place to work for a little while. M

The staff were knowledgeable prompt and really pleasant.

The bathrooms were really clean , the place was really clean . The menu is simple but good.

I gave four stars for the atmosphere just because it wasn't particularly amazing, but it was nice. clean. pleasant.
