The worst meal I’ve ever had. Service was horrible the swordfish was so dry the soup that was for ten people was disgusting I’ll never again eat there

Chef Gio consistently delivers incredible food, and the experience never disappoints. The Clams Organette (could be the best I have ever had), the Shrimp alla Barbara (OMG!), and the Chicken alla Gio's (dry chicken scarpariello on the bone with sausage and peppers - that's how it's done!) are can't miss dishes. The Bolognese is hearty and full of flavor, so good it could be enjoyed on its own, but it's truly exceptional when served with their perfectly al dente pasta. And save room for dessert!
What truly makes Gio's deserving of 5 stars is the warm, family atmosphere that Chef Gio has created. Even on nights when the kitchen gets backed up, or the acoustics are a bit loud, those minor inconveniences are quickly overshadowed by great food and the fantastic staff.

Best Italian restaurant I have ever been to in the city. Everything, especially the food, makes you feel as if you are dining overseas in Europe at a 4-5 Star restaurant. Thank you, Gio, for your amazing customer service and hospitality

I have eaten at Gio's several times. Their food is creative and excellent. The service couldn't be better. But the noise is so difficult that I go less often than I otherwise would and when I do go, I regret the decision. I will never go again on a weekend
Another wonderful meal at Gio's. We had the fried zucchini flowers for the first time. They were so tasty and not greasy at all. The Sunday Sauce was perfection. My go to favorite Veal Sorrentino never disappoints. I had the Italian Blonde cocktail, it was refreshing and delicious. Dena is the most accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable server. Gio's is a real gem!!
Gio's is, simply, AWESOME. Our favorite restaurant - hands down! The food, service, everything is perfect....thats why it is so hard to get a reservation. Totally recommend it!!
The food was really outstanding! They have two different size portions to chose from which makes it easy to share plates. The service was professional and very attentive. Our only problem was the restaurant was crowded and very noisy. It was hard to hear the conversation at the table. The acoustics could have been better. All in all, I would consider it a neighborhood gem.
So much, great food, good time

This place is horrible not only was service horrible, we waited over 45 minutes for our entree to come out. First let me get started we sat down five of us at the bar and were asked if we wanted drinks . Ok got drinks and were ignored for about 15 minutes until I asked can we order. We order our food and meanwhile two other couples were seated and sat at the bar after us ordered their food and their app. And entrees came out way before ours . Obviously if you are related or know the bartenders you get special treatment . So we are sitting waiting and notice some food orders coming out that we didn’t see on the menu. Oh we were never given the specials menu for the evening . Nice . Finally almost 45 minutes later one of the couples that came in after us were served, ate, got their check and were gone before our food arrived . Ordered the halibut on the regular menu not sure what I got but it was a piece of dried out 1/4 “ thin of fish that was so over cooked . I’m not sure it was fresh. It tasted like a frozen piece of fish . The seasoning was horrible all I tasted was salt. My son had the veal picatta tasted like “catering food at a communion party” from years ago horrible. So overall sorry to say will never go back there again.

Genuinely surprised at the good reviews. This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had in 30+ years. Bartenders attended to friends instead of everyone else. I literally wasn’t approached ONCE if I was okay or needed a drink. Our food was late. Two parties who came after us were served way before us… friends of the bartenders. They were just straight up rude and didn’t care. I think at the end they were legitimately doing it on purpose. I’ll never eat there again. Overpriced mediocre food and atrocious service- unless you’re a buddy I guess. Worth the drive to anywhere else.
Absolute gem. From the hostess to the servers ( especially Dina ?) This place never disappoints. Diablo dirty martini, wine, Italian egg rolls, chicken all pazza, chicken raffi all outstanding as usual. Love it here. Best restaurant in the area by far.
Our server Matt was terrific, but the kitchen did not get all of our orders out at the same time, which resulted in two of us staring at our meals for several minutes, while we waited for the other two of us to be served. Except for that, the overall experience was very good. The food is great and the atmosphere friendly.
