Love places like this. Cash only, incredibly cheap but decent selection of beers and friendly bar staff. The other patrons were mostly locals and very happy to chat as well. Decent live music on my first visit, mostly country.
Typical dive bar. Cash only. Very small place. They did have a nice area out back for live music. I enjoyed that. I didn't have any food, I didn't see a menu and wasn't offered one so I assume they don't serve food.
Driven past this place dozens of times and always wanted to stop. Today after a day of skiing at Whiteface, my father and I chose to stop for a drink. As soon as I sat down, the bartender asked for ID. (Indubitably so, I look pretty young) The owner of the bar was sitting at the end and as I was handing my ID over, he disrespectfully stated he does not think I am of age to drink. “You aren’t 21 are you?!” I replied, “Yes I am.” “How old are you then?!” I said “21”...
