From time to time, I'll trek from my spot in the Bronx, to Cafe Oasis, to sit in with Debbie Knapper's band during Sunday night open mic. Nice atmosphere and very convenient to get to, with the Baldwin train station right there!
Older crowd, although the bartenders/waitress were attentive it took too long for our order to come. Prices are reasonable. Karaoke night was happy but the music was to loud for such a small room.
It was my first time going there and we stayed less than 5 minutes because it was very crowded, literally standing room only and you had to squeeze between people just to try to find somewhere 'good' to stand. But it was a weekend and they had a live band playing, so I guess that was understandable. Obviously I can't comment on drinks, prices etc. as like I said, we didn't stay.
