The Coral House is a grandiose experience. It emits a unique sense of style and elegance suitable for a wedding. But, it does have a few cracks.
The lighting and overall atmosphere is incredible! When you think of the highlights of a wedding venue, the Coral House should be a strong consideration.
There was a wide selection of food and drink, and the rooftop area for cocktail hour leans in to the New York wedding experience. For some reason, people cannot deny drinking and eating while looking over the gorgeous lake the Coral House rests next to.
I’ll also state, the overall service was great!
Now for the cracks. While the “vibes” are great, there is still a lot of unsightly corners. For example, the rooftop bar broke the level of elegance by letting us see into the dingy corners of that room. A few curtains, some dimmer lights, and maybe some other set dressings would have made the experience just that much tighter. A venue is not just about the view, it is also about the presentation.

Besides those little bits, I think The Coral House deserves to be on the short list of wedding venues.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. If you are African American or Spanish please do not waste your money in this establishment. They are not fond of our people and while your party or during your planning process they will make negative and racist comments. They treat there African American employees with such disgust!!! This place is not where you should spend your money

My husband and I recently held our baby shower at the Coral House, and for your own safety, and the safety of your loved ones, I beg you to STAY FAR AWAY from this venue. What was supposed to be a special day turned into a nightmare.

The disaster started the moment we met our maitre d’, Ivonne, hands down the most unprofessional, rude, and reckless person we’ve ever dealt with. She was nowhere to be found when needed, acted like we were a burden, and towards the end of the event, started lifting large heavy tables while guests and children were still nearby and dropped one of the tables on our friend, sending her to the hospital. Worse, Ivonne made heartless jokes about it, and the venue showed no accountability or basic human decency.

From the start, Ivonne rushed us because they had other events, treating us like we didn’t matter, even after we tried to be flexible. Our cake arrived late with zero explanation, and she handled it so carelessly it cracked before we could cut it. They even forgot to take our food order until a family member tracked her down,  and by then, they just wanted to pack it up and rush us out.

We left hurt, humiliated, and furious. The Coral House staff’s negligence and cruelty ruined a once-in-a-lifetime occasion for us. Please don’t make the mistake we did, take your business elsewhere.

My wife and I hosted a baby shower, and what should’ve been a special event was completely soured by the negligence and outright disrespect from the staff, especially Ivonne, the maître d’.

From the start, Ivonne was clearly overwhelmed, juggling multiple events, and made it everyone’s problem by constantly rushing us, despite the fact that we had paid in full and were following the schedule we’d agreed on.

But the real issue came at the end: Ivonne carelessly attempted to put away a heavy wooden table in the middle of the room, with guests still inside, and dropped it on my friend’s ankle. My friend had to be taken to the hospital with a swollen, injured ankle.

Instead of showing basic human decency or professionalism, Ivonne and the Coral House admin staff doubled down with nasty attitudes, acted like we were inconveniencing them, and gave us a hard time when we asked for a simple incident report. After finally completing one, they REFUSED to give us a copy and are now forcing us to go to their “legal office” in Freeport just to get paperwork that should’ve been handed over on the spot.

There are security cameras everywhere at Coral House, including in the room we rented, so this incident should be on video. If that footage suddenly goes “missing,” it will be a terrible stain on their reputation and this will be escalated accordingly.

Laurie, who helped organize the event beforehand, was professional, but sadly, the rest of the experience was an absolute disaster.

If you value your guests’ safety, or your time and money, STAY FAR AWAY FROM CORAL HOUSE.

And before anyone at Coral House claims they “have no record” of this, rest assured, I have photos, videos, and over 40 witnesses who attended my wife’s baby shower at this venue and can confirm exactly what happened

Unsafe and dangerous - Absolutely appalling experience at The Coral House.

We were at a baby shower when an employee, Ivonne, who was lifting a table through a crowd, lost control and dropped it on my friend, causing a serious injury that required an ambulance. Staff lied about calling one, pressured her to leave while she was bleeding and unable to walk, and tried to downplay the incident. My husband had to hunt down a manager, only to be stonewalled and threatened with legal action for asking questions. When the General Manager, Frank, finally came out, he was hostile and tried to intimidate my injured friend instead of helping. The owner, Butch, refused to speak to us or offer any assistance. Absolutely disgraceful treatment. For your safety and peace of mind—stay far away from this venue.

Our friend's beautify baby shower ended in an ambulance to the hospital due to the staff's negligence.
