I just went there to get lunch, rice and beans and meat, normally I’ll get fried pork belly alone but today I got pork ribs and the fried pork belly (chicharrones) She had the audacity of weighing the chicharrones and charged me separately for it. It was over $20 for my lunch and I had asked for only two ribs and regardless she charge me all that money. Never going back again!

My boss said the best pernil on Long Island is Lucas Dominican on Grand Ave in Baldwin. If you have any stops there, swing by and get yourself a large serving, white rice, smothered in pork gravy.

Moist, succulent pernil! Also, since she offered, the nice young lady offered las tijeras del pernil, for those who know, are the proper cutting tool needed to slather the skin on your order. Thick, crunchy skin placed purposefully on my plate!

Ordered a sancocho on DoorDash from a Dominican Restaurant, you only assume they know what a sancocho is.
It was raw chicken AND PORK! More of a consume, and NOT AT ALL a sancocho.
No where on the menu does it say that there is pork in the sancocho, and furthermore, sancocho is made with Gallina/Hen.
I spend $30 and did not get what I ordered.

I usually get the empanadas or chicken soup. They’re pretty good. But I ordered the sopa de mariscos and was disappointed to find out it’s just the base of chicken soup with some tiny clams, 2 pieces of shrimp (I ordered a large) , and a crab leg put in there. Also, why are there Lipton noodles in this soup? It was just awful. Waste of money.
Delicious Dominican food and good prices as well. Will keep coming back.
