Food is ok, gives you wild diarrhea not even kidding. Haven't had it in years and the day I decided to eat from here, stomach is gone. I'd say if u want Jamaican food learn to make it urself bc idk what they're doing wrong in there that's making people's stomachs go off the rails. To me, this seems like the type of restaurant that's open j to be open and all the money is going to the owners pocket and towards rent to stay open, not towards upgrading the quality. And because of the aftermath of the food, I don't wanna imaging how much is not being spent on maintaining cleanliness. At least stay away from the beef patties, that's the one thing I didn't finish bc it didn't look appetizing, ive seen and had better patties from late night pizza spots. If u want jerk food, look beyond here.
A tip for the public, when reviewing places always look at the most recent reviews, because that's most likely the type of experience you will have since the reviews are closest to when you are intriguing about an establishment. To prove my point further, look at the most recent review before mine, similarities in the appeal of the food and bathroom visits. Stay aware yall and make sure ur treating yourselves to the best meals you can get out here. 🇱🇰

Originally I didn’t want to write this review, however what I’ve endured over the last three days have truly caused me to change my mind.
I stopped by here on Friday evening around 6pm and order a quarter jerk chicken, macaroni pie, and a side of plantain. My partner ordered an oxtail with rice and peas.
The lady at the counter was nice it seemed as though she could have been overwhelmed or wasn’t use to running a counter alone. This is because while she was prepping orders, she would have the following customer wait upwards of 5 minutes before taking their order. But I’ve worked in food so I understood how things can be at times and paid it no mind.
Once we received the food after waiting roughly 15 minutes we had no issues. I was actually looking forward to eating my first meal of day. However, that changed quickly when I noticed my plantain were cold. I noticed the plantains were retrieved from a silver counter top in the corner. I continued to eat it nonetheless.
I already knew the jerk chicken wasn’t going to be grilled because most places tend to bake them. My issue came in with the pie it wasn’t all the way bad. But it did have a taste as though someone poured half a bottle of bitters in the mixture. I ate as much of the food as I could seeing as it was my first meal and I was hungry. Worst mistake!
At approximately 3am Saturday morning I bolted to the bathroom and have been going constantly since. According to the reviews it’s a hit or miss with this location which is fine. However, for me my experience and what I’m dealing with is enough to turn me away for good.
Also to add my partner did not enjoy their meal either. Some of the pieces of oxtail looked like chicken bone and other pieces were simply larger than life.
I wish this establishment great success on their journey.

Love the spot. Very clean and the colors make you feel like you in jamaica
Visited Jerk Kings for catering for my office event and couldn’t be more satisfied! The customer service and hospitality is beyond exceptional and the food is ON POINT! Thank you Jerk Kings!!!
We are definitely not Jamaican, but we've had the real deal in Boston Bay and this is good jerk. Cod fritters were super tasty too. Will go back and try more dishes.
Review for Jerk Kings Caribbean Restaurant – Freeport, NY
If you’re craving real-deal jerk chicken, run to Jerk Kings in Freeport. This place doesn’t just serve food—it puts on a show. You’ll smell the magic before you even walk in: their jerk chicken is smoked right out front in an authentic steel drum, and the flavor tells the whole story.
The chicken is perfectly charred, juicy inside, and packed with that bold, smoky heat true jerk lovers live for. It’s clear they take pride in doing it right—none of that watered-down, oven-baked stuff you get elsewhere.
Everything else on the plate holds its own too. The rice and peas are rich and fluffy, the cabbage has that perfect island kick, and the house-made sauces? Straight fire. Friendly staff, fast service, and good vibes all around.
Jerk Kings isn’t just a meal—it’s a Caribbean experience, right in the heart of Long Island.🔥🇯🇲 Highly recommend.

I ordered honey jerk salmon w rice, peas, cabbage, & sweet plantain! DELICIOUS! I can’t wait to try their other entrees!
The reviews didn’t disappoint! The food here was amazing!! The smell of the grill travels down the block and the hospitality is unmatched! Shaun and Sheldon go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience and as a first time customer I’ll definitely be back! I ordered the jerk chicken meal and it came with rice & peas, cabbage, and got oxtail gravy on the rice. The sample had noodles, stewed pork, curry goat, and collard greens (which were sooo good!). I’m so glad I made the trip from Li to far rockaway 👌🏾
I came in to order take out and left this place feeling refreshed and renewed. Neville, Cheyenne and Ms. Joyce are super sweet and accommodating.
The place is immaculately clean and well organized. There is a wall to take selfies and the tables midnfully boast history of Jamacia. If I werent in a hurry, I could see myself enjoying a meal in person.
The food is delicious and fresh and everything is well stocked. Thank you Neville for bringing a piece of your family's history to the neighborhood. Wishing you continued success with your restaurant and grow for your future. Keep up the great work friends!
This is one of the best Jamaican jerk restaurants. The owner and the people who work there are very nice, and the food is amazing.
Kid-friendliness: The owner is a really nice guy.
