I've lived in the Baldwin/Freeport area for 8 yrs and never heard about Novi until recently. At first glance, I would have driven pass this spot and must have for years because it blends in with the brick face of the other buildings on the block. Once I entered, I was met with a sports bar vibe and got confused as to why I was invited to celebrate here. I don't even drink. 😂
Once I found the hostess, she asked who I was picking up for, so I guess they are more used to take out more than dining in. I told her I wanted a table and was meeting a friend. She took me around a wall to the other side of the restaurant, that's when I saw why I was invited here.
The dining section was beautifully designed, layout, atmosphere and even the volume of music changed. People ate delicious looking food and drank and were merry. I sat and waited for my friend. I ordered their broccoli and chicken soup and cauliflower bites. After a couple bites I asked for a takeout box because this was too good to eat in one sitting. The portion sizes were generous and so was the flavor. I ordered a mocktail which was delectable. Unfortunately they ran out the ingredients for my drink so the next one ordered wasn't as tasty.
Everything we ordered was delicious and the wait staff quickly because family. She was attentive and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. Unfortunately my stuff pork was dry and over breaded but other than that, the food and service was wonderful. If I could take off a half a star I would but unfortunately that feature isn't allowed so 4 out of 5 stars is where this place sits in my book. I'm definitely going back and am excited to try more. If you've never been, please go, even if just for take out, it's totally worth it.

This place is a Gem. The food is so delicious, everything from the appetizer to dessert were all perfect! My family & I had a very beautiful evening celebrating Mother’s Day — the owner & the staffs engagement made the night that much more special.

Above star rating. NOVI has always been a neighborhood favorite for our family of 5. Always a perfect spot for a date night, family night, PTA night, and more. Excellent option for takeout as well. Affordable prices all around, amazing cocktails and generous portions. I'd like to especially thank management from Alex to staff Tracy and the entire team for leading our daughter's first communion. The service was excellent, and the catering package was above what'd we expected. Thank you all for a truly memorable event.
I just had a veal parm dinner delivered. THE ABSOLUTE FORKING BEST I’VE EVER HAD FROM NOVI!!! The veal was so tender you could cut it with a spoon! THEY ARE THE BEST…..and so is Melissa :-)
The food was absolutely delicious I had chicken vodka parm and it was like butter cooked so perfectly. I got it with penne and the pasta was perfectly al dente. The service was amazing they come to check on you regularly and refill water as needed. We also got dessert at the end which was also amazing. For 5 people it only ran us about $162 which is very reasonable considering how much we got. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends and family and definitely will be coming back.
